Four defenders on the bench, which I will assume is down to the virus.

Yeh I noticed that. I suppose Ekotto could come on to push Bale up to left mid and Kaboul can play center mid and Kyle Walker could possibly come on as right mid but they are all at a stretch

Unless not a single one of our young fliers - Rose, Kane, Fredericks, M'poku - is fit, Dervite seems unnecessary. Kaboul, Walker and BAE cover all defensive bases, and another midfield/attacking option would have been useful.

Don't you?

Cos, if we win today, we'll be 4th, and no one'll have a game in hand that can displace us.

So, er....

Man City would have a game in hand and could displace us for 4th if they won that game in hand. Just sayin'

I'm not throwing in the towel, but Spurs are not in the driver's seat at the moment for 4th. COYS!!!

P.S. I just went back and realized a couple already pointed this out - sorry, not trying to pile on

listen most people agree with you we're still in the race, but quite a few agree with me, we ain't

in fact one poster said recently even if we beat everton and blackburn we still won't be - and I know exactly where he's coming from

to pip pool - a big 4 giant - will require reserves of mental stamina, playing ability etc that I don't think we have

tell me if i'm wrong but we have never finished above pool in the prem?

maybe once or twice - but I can't remeber it

and certainly not in the recent past

to me we went to Anfield, they didn't have torres gerrard or johnson - we still lost

yes the prick helped - so what's new - 'ref helps big 4' shocker

do we have what it takes to break into the cartel - no

+1
or at least we are in last place of the realistic contenders. wins today and away to city would help, but do you rally expect both? and we'd still need 'pool to slip up somewhere

I thought Defoe was out with a hamstring injury and Palacios was puking yesterday?

As long as they are truly fit, then COYS!!!
