I don't know that any of that is realistic, felmani26. We've all been on here thinking and saying the very same thing for the last two months or so. I believe we were in crisis before today. What today's result is likely to do to the confidence of the players doesn't bear thinking about.

That is true but there surely has to be a watershed moment and I hope to God this is it.

Honestly, i'm fucked off with quite a few members of staff in this Tottenham side and on the sidelines but like it or not, we are going to have Harry until the end of the season and we need the likes of Modric to step up and play because quite frankly we don't have anyone else to step in.

Don't get me wrong, I hope we have change in the post-season but we have little choice but to hope the penny has dropped (for the umpteenth time) and that Harry can't fuck about anymore with this 442 bollocks and for our 'star' players to show their worth - even if it's to engineer a move elsewhere, we need fourth place!

We've had umpteen watershed moments already this season, felmani26. We had them last season, too. It doesn't seem to make any difference.

I know, and I don't want to sound robotic and give out sound bytes but the truth is I honestly don't know what else to say or do!

I'm going to make a prediction, felmani26. Whatever else happens between now and the end of the season, Modric won't step up. Didn't do it last season, not doing it this, wasn't up for a cup semi final at Wembley, first man down the tunnel after the Norwich defeat. He'll probably do a Pascal Chimbonda after the Fulham game.

Why in the world are people assuming that if we sell Modric or Bale, that we will re-invest the incoming transfer fees into high level replacements? Berbatov's transfer fee wasn't used to improve the squad in the near term after his departure. Despite 25 million-plus in player sales last summer, we have spent roughly 7 million pounds in player purchases in the last two transfer windows. We also had 25 million of Champions League income, but again, that didn't translate into any serious spending.

What's to say we don't sell Modric and Bale late in the transfer window to the highest bidder, only to not have time to replace them? I for one would rather hold on to them, than rely on Levy to go out and make deals to bring in quality replacements. I was extremely alarmed a few days ago when JJSet, who is arguably the most ITK poster here, made reference to Levy as being reluctant to spend (http://www.spurscommunity.co.uk/ind...to-revive-our-transfer-situation.85398/page-2).

Finally got home from wembley. I can honestly say I am exhausted. Wish I could tell you what went wrong but I can't. All I can say is that it all went to plan and we played like a team that's bottled it.

Just wish this season was over as I need a break now.

You could well be right JH but I certainly hope it's not fatal i.e. finishing 5th or worse!

Bale has f**ked me off for a while now. With the money we could get for him I'd honestly rather have Adam Johnson. And that isn't a knee jerk.

I love Modric and think he's a superb footballer but, when/if we fail to get CL football and he decides it isn't his fault and seeks employment elsewhere, then we cannot have another summer like the last one. At least if City are involved we might get something like £30m and Adam Johnson. They're stupid f**kers but I'd rather sell to them than United or Chelsea.

Harry has gone in his head. That's evident.

I'll still be renewing my membership first thing in the morning (if I've got my dates right) and trying to get a ST.

Wow

Really????????

Yes. Think he'd be far more consistent. Bale is going to leave eventually anyway. Then again I've always been a fan of Johnson and Bale has been living off of those games against Inter for too long imo.

Either Harry isn't big enough to tell him to stick to the f**king left wing or he doesn't listen.

He's a very good player but, imo, vastly overrated because he raped Maicon.
