At least it wasnt our fans booing... only our players and coaching staff that have embarassed themselves today then.

All said and done, I don't care how we get fourth place, we just HAVE to get it!

Need to secure the finance on our stadium which is paramount over the futures of Bale and Modric.

I'm actually heart broken and feel so stupid. I really did believe we could have won the league

This summer will look like this:

Harry GONE
Luka GONE
Gareth GONE

Honestly, if we get £60m for those two, a manager with some tactical know how, who doesn't keep harking on about where the club were when he found us just to justify ANOTHER collapse, and some players who care about the club and don't see it as a stepping stone then I wont complain one bit.

Retrospectively it looks like the FA have contributed to this capitulation by NOT taking Harry 5 minutes after Capello resigned.

Huge summer of rebuilding.
As long as we keep VDV, I'm at peace with that. Will give the new guy, a long-term guy I hope some fund to invest in the summer. In 2 or 3 yrs there'll be very little what with the stadium etc. Now is the time to install someone for the next decade, not next season, and give him something to work with.

I'd still expect us to be in and around the top 6 anyhoo. Hardly a disaster.

funny, but some point near the beginning, someone was on here warning us that redknapp would leave with the team in disarray and full of overpaid crocks and old men.

not far off are we...

I actually knew the game was likely over when we brought Defoe on. As great a goalscorer as he may be we cease to be a team when he plays. Bringing him on is the ultimate gamble - and more often than not it doesn't pay off.

Bringing him on; taking vdv OFF; going 442.

Triple threat of doom.

Immediate and instant suicide.

The game was wide open for bale, vdv, modric and lennon to run rampant; chelsea had evacuated the midfield. That was a terrible, terribkle decision by Harry...schoolboy stuff.

The average age of Spurs teams before Redknapp rivalled our neighbours and their 'kids'.

Today, we were older than geriatric Chelsea.

I don't think Bale will leave us yet no matter how the season ends. I believe he is one of the players that will feel that he has to win something with us before sodding off to another team unlike mr Ratface.

The key difference is we already had some superbly talented young players at the club. We'd be a right fucking state otherwise.

As much as Bale annoys me, few players excite me as much. The goal at the Etihad made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I'd love to see him in a Spurs shirt under a strict coach.

Thats skewed.

Our average age was older because Cudicini, Gallas and Friedel dragged it right up. The average was in this case not balanced. Had you compared outfield players it would be a different story. However the point you quoted still stands, we have a team in dissaray with some old players.

I am on a terminal downer.

Everything is worse than it really is.

We sent out pensioners in my mind (even though we didn't).

I must admit, I was at Norwich and after that and today, I am wavering.

Normally a half hour after the final whistle and I have calmed down slightly, but Im still utterly devastated... hopefully this bottle of rum will help me to erase the game from my mind! :(

I just about to uncork a bottle of Rose and get to work on it.

There really needs to be a spurs fan support group...the shit we're put through, it's amazing, really amazing.
