Not sure why premier league training grounds haven't used the company I work for service.

We provide a bio decontamination service. That essentially destroys viruses and bacteria with hydrogen peroxide.

This is going to transcend into a nightmare for the PL again...could see this spreading like wildfire now...

Wait till it’s the World Cup in 12 months time and we are going through this all again. Going to be even worse for football then.

So if the Brighton games is off then surely that will mean the Leicester and quite possibly the Liverpool game will be postponed if players have to isolate for 10 days

There’s no way the premier league will be able to be continue as it’s currently operating with the current isolation rules, we’re are gonna be the first of many clubs that will have to be more or less out of completey business for a week or two

This is something, the new variant, that will spread throughout all the clubs, I think. I’m not long out of Covid isolation, three weeks maybe? I’m back at work, but I have no energy. My body is still aching. And yeah, I’m not at Premier League fitness, but I do a physical job. It’s really wiped me out. My concern is to stop the spread, and then we’ll have to see what condition these guys are in. It may take a proper whack at quite a few of them.

I wonder if and by how much that number will grow by the weekend. Even without training more players/staff could have been infected. One does wonder if we will even be able to make the Liverpool game. I don’t realistically see the Leicester game happening.

That generally sounds worth while. But this virus is airborne. And by the rate it is transmitting in the squad, it could well be spreading while they are training outside too.

What we don't know is how ill they are. Conte looked pretty shaken in his press conference, as if something serious was on his mind. Partly that was to get the game cancelled perhaps, but it was pretty alarming all the same.

Quite alarming how quickly it's spread

PL should consider pushing the winter break forward. An outbreak here and at Leicester with new cases popping up daily.

Would be ideal for us at least.

If I were in PL leadership I'd propose to cancel every game between now and Christmas and restart on Boxing Day.

There has to be the first inkling of fear that this could escalate badly so I think that’s a pretty good idea even though it would fuck the fixture calendar. A couple of weeks off now to clear the worst of it so that the whole season isn’t played behind closed doors. Nobody wants that.

In someways it’s hard to understand how this has spread so quickly throughout our squad. Barring that team in Portugal I Can’t recall incident like this during these covid times Where entire squad has been wiped out.

Imagine That’s what they will be doing now to training ground and areas of the stadium where players are prevalent such as changing rooms etc,
