Go get a PCR test - cough and gammy brain are my symptoms.
Have done, still waiting on it to come back. Had those as well as temperature, tiredness etc but only really started on Monday and several LFTs are saying negative so fingers crossed

Hope you get better soon was at the match myself last thursday. Have had cough and sore throat since but all lateral flow tests i've done have been negative.
Me too. This is third time. Family complaining that this has only happened to me after going to Spurs games?

I’ve been wondering, do you have to be vaccinated to attend the games in London? In NYC, we have to be vaccinated to do pretty much everything(go to restaurants, museums, conventions, events, games, & soon to work). Plus, its mandated wenare masked in public transit(but many people dont really follow that). And our positive rate is far below the rest of the state. Far cry from where we were at the heights 18 months ago. The political groupthinks can say what they want but the restrictions & the vaccines do seem to work.

You are meant to have the NHS pass which indicates what vaccines you have or a LFT test taken that day. You should then be asked to provide the evidence before you go through the security test. I have never been asked by any of the young spotty security personnel when entering the south stand but apparently others on this site have been asked to produce the evidence.
Now plan B is in place it is now a requirement for all to provide this.

Good luck with that Spurs ?

I took 2 lateral flow tests that both came back negative..... Then went for a proper test, and that was positive. I would hold little trust in a lateral flow test.
Totally agree mate might go for a proper test to be safe. I still have to work as tests are negative crazy times.

I didn't get asked for any last thursday. Only got asked when doing skywalk on friday. Doesn't make any sense!

Thanks. Better today. No Covid according to lft’s and pcr tests. But just shows how easy it is to catch colds etc. at the Lane. Prior to the new season I hadn’t had any form of cold or flu for 18 months! I love singing the Spurs songs in the South Stand but might not do so much to see if that is part of the cause.
Hope you can come over in February to see Conte Ball?

Yes agree mate, me & my cousin both had sore throats and coughs after the match was suprised i we weren't asked for any vaccine prove etc for the match yet asked the next day for the sky walk with 8 people in the group? No sense at all. Hopefully i can get over to the match. Wouldn't be spurs without bad luck lol. As good old Ally Gold says spurs aren't aloud good things?

Same, haven't been asked for a while actually at Spurs but new government advice is that you need to in order to attend anything with 10k + capacity. I'm sure they will start checking again at Spurs now. I got checked when entering o2 last night.

From the information given being double vaxxed doesn’t stop you getting sick or even hospitalised with this new variant.
Hopefully because the players are in peak fitness condition and very healthy it’ll just be mild and they’ll be fine.

Id imagine we’re the first of many clubs this will happen to
Yeah, exactly, but even the delta vaccination is less than 50% effective at preventing infection, it is, however, very very good at preventing serious illness. Early indications seem to show that Omicron is actually a much more mild form of COVID. Much more spreadable but not as dangerous, obviously this still requires more research, but the data looks promising to say the least. No confirmed deaths from Omicron globally so far, logic would suggest the rise in deaths in South Africa might be attributed to omicron, but the deaths in South Africa are still very low (much lower than the UK for example) and the rise in cases has not yet contributed to more deaths. So promising, hopefully If that's the case then the players will recover very quickly, even those symptomatic. Assuming, it's Omicron that is.

Theoretically, Omicron is well designed to avoid immunity. Current research suggests the vaccines still to be effective but less so, boosters seem to be effective too. I'm bizarrely hopeful about omicron, but too early to tell. Leicester have already been affected, and almost every club will.

I queried the club why our covid passes weren't checked but out seat tickets were checked twice and I was told that the covid pass checks were only randomly sampled checked. Told them they had their priorities wrong but that's not unusual for spurs.!

I read today that London is at the epicentre of the Omicron outbreak
So more and more indicators this is Omicron. Possibly the upside of this is the symptoms may be milder, but not enough data yet.

The trouble is this variant has been discovered weeks ago but it was always going to take time to detect each case. Everywhere will be affected by it now. We've played a good few games since the new variant came to light so this is no surprise. The moment it was mentioned this was more transmissible you knew this would be trouble for sports. You can't play a sport with so many people shouting, sweating and embracing one another and not have an outbreak.

Just seen a report from South Africa and they are saying the Omnicron variant is not causing the same issues as previous variants.

Not presenting to hospital with the same extreme symptoms and are breathing room air rather than needing oxygen etc

Early days but fingers crossed.
