God I still remember reading about us changing from Umbro to Pony and being totally gutted. Then I saw those kits and it felt even worse. Such things mattered when you were 13.

I doubt he ever made a terrible decision business wise.I'd be majorly surprised if Pony didnt put the most money on the table at the time, hence the reason we ended up with the worst kit we ever had.I doubt such things as kit design we're at the forefront of his mind, instead he was focused on securing the long term stability of our club.
As a footnote i loved the second Pony effort it was a lot classier in all fairness.

I actually thought the 97-98 kit they did was one of the classiest kits we've ever had. But the name Pony. Surely, he stopped and thought for just one second there.

She was a Gooner, of course.

Am I dreaming or did 90 Minutes caption this with "Tottenham's new twin strike force (and Teddy Sheringham)"..? If Paul Hawksbee is reading I'm sure he wouldn't mind enlightening me.

I'm surprised they didn't get Linda Lusardi to do it if they wanted a page 3 model. She used to do a bit of Spurs promo work in the 80's and is a Spurs fan.

Have to agree the Ginola kit as I like to call it looked so good but I'll be honest as a kid it was that and the Hummel fa cup winning kit were the most uncomfortable kits to wear.

We didn't win the FA cup wearing Hummel. We lost in 87 (my favourite shirt) then in 91 we wore Umbro for the final having worn Hummel in the semi against arsenal

My bad we wore Hummel all the way till the final tbh the FA Cup semi final felt more like the final as a 7 year old watching Gascoigne score the best goal ever at the old Wembley

Went in spurs shop yesterday and they are selling genuine Umbro 94 and 91 spurs shirts. So exactly the same as what was sold in that year, same quality with umbro badge - not these unbranded replicas.

Bagged the 94 (Kilinnsmann) and will get 91 next.

Saw them a few weeks ago. They are both on my list of wanted Spurs memorabilia.

I brought the 91 cup final shirt as it was the first cup final we were involved with since I was born (1990) and prefer the retro shirts over the one season kits nowadays

94 away shirt is the antithesis of the Pony kits. Was the best kit on the school playground by miles in those days.
