Quick thought regarding the club name being placed with the logo:

Couldnt Nike decide that it makes sense to add it for branding purposes? I've been trying to think of other PL clubs that don't have their name included on their shirt crest and all I've come up with is maybe Swansea? Everyone else has the club name written.

Now, I would prefer the cockerel with no lettering, but I could see someone at Nike arguing that adding the name to the shirt would help with marketing the product.

No, Nike would have any right to change/adapt our logo/brand at all.

Obviously they couldn't unilaterally do it, but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that they could argue it's going to bring in more $. And $ speaks to Levy.

It's not up to Nike.

Spurs determin the way the badge looks on the shirt, a kit manufacturer cannot take it upon themselves to modify the clubs IP

How long left on the AIA deal?

Also i've liked the Under Armour kits for the most only things i wasn't keen on was the black/grey half/half, the tread pattern down the back of one of the blue away kits. I've really liked their training gear though. And all of the UA stuff i own and other family members has all been really well made, expensive but well made.

The problem i'll have with Nike is they don't really do sizes for those of us who are a tad wider, longer and taller than standard :sorry::oops: plus their website's shite.

Also i've really not been impressed with their efforts with England kits (the French ones i've seen are quite nice though) plus they appear to have gone mental with certain clubs designs of late.

Totally get where your coming from. Nike just don't make shorts that accommodate larger-sized penises. It's an absolute nightmare having this big ol' dick.

I understand that, hence my post right above yours. I was on the app so I was unable to use the quote feature.

Generally pretty reliable.

http://www.footyheadlines.com/2017/01/nike-tottenham-17-18-kit.html

"Made by Nike, the Tottenham 2017-2018 home jersey is set to introduce a clean and classy look that could likely be based on teamwear. To go with this understated and traditional design, the Tottenham 17-18 kit will feature a 1950s-inspired take on the Spurs logo with a shield around the original shape."

Don't they just post all leaked kits?
Not sure i would call them reliable as thats at least 2 home kits they have posted in the last week

They specify when it's rumor (or a guess) or when it's legit/been confirmed. If you look at the posts from last week it says:

"These two kits show concept designs that made it to actual but not real kits."

Today's falls into the "confirmed" bucket.

Not sure about the shield tbh. Worked well in the 60s, but not with this current modern crest.

What's 'teamwear'?

A bunch of generic kits that are available to order for amateur teams (Sunday League etc). Also lower League teams almost always get teamwear kits.

It's not a good thing to have in the first season of a contract and suggests the manufacturer didn't have enough time to design the kit.

England's first Nike kit was based on a teamwear template.

Looks like the article has been updated and suggests it's an original design.
