One of my guiding mantras is, "It's better to walk alone than with a crowd going the wrong way."

With a first eleven that cost less than Pogba, THFC is also following that mantra. Many EPL teams have followed the crowd spending small fortunes yet having very little to show for it. Spurs, wisely, walked alone away from the crowd and are emerging as the team to follow.

Methinks there will many red faces at the end of the season, but guess who won't be among them? Yep, our beloved THFC ~ the club leading the way for the future of football.

...but now quite a few of those players in the 79m squad out value him by some margin.

The Cr/Dr column for some of our current playing staff must make Levy smile, a lot. It does me. Not that the money is important, but the work done to cause those values to rise to the current level they are is damn impressive.

This team is getting close to being the 'if only we had them all at once' team we've spoken about for years.

No ambition? We currently own 2 of the 3 worlds most expensive players!

(I'm forgetting about not paying 'ambitious' top whack wages for the benefit of my argument).

And I don't mind if Levy keep it that way - which will be very hard with the super inflated prices of players this window.
