It really is starting to feel like we're not getting another CB this window.
Yup or we'll go back for Lenglet at the last minute.

Really surprised we're not being linked to more CB options atm. It's abundantly clear we're short there.

Both Davinson and Dier are coming into the last year of their deals. Our inability to be effective in selling players is once again biting us in the arse as it's been clear for months the whole defensive line needs a huge reboot.

Whether it's this lad who I really like the sound of or someone else we absolutely have to bring in at least one more centre back this summer, and I mean at least as I think we need to ship three more out and bring two in.

Tbf we have been linked to Wout Faes, people just don’t like that link so pretending it didn’t happen 😁

Are there any left footed, quick, homegrown centre halves coming up through the lower divisions? If we sold Dier and Sanchez then perhaps Phillips and another could be considered understudies? Risk with a lack of experience but perhaps a necessary evil in our attempt to ‘tidy up’ a squad mess?

I’m onboard with a plan like that. Get a real quality 3rd CB whohc means there is no drop off from CR & MVdV, then place some faith in Phillips and/or Dorrington as the other backup. Give them 5-10 minutes in games it looks like we’re in control of alongside/surrounded by genuine first team players so they are integrated in a controlled manner.

I can only tell you what i'm hearing from my Fulham friends who would use the Fulham equivalent of this site, with their own itk sources, and they've been pretty clear all along that Tosin is moving because he wants to play regularly and that he definitely wants to go to Monaco above all else. That's been there take for a good while, the weekend stuff seemed some half hearted talk about swap deals involving either Regillion or Dier but nothing remotely concrete that's been backed up anywhere.

I think it's obvious that is the case - wanting to go for first team football at Monaco - and I can't blame the player.

All I was saying was that he's pretty much only CB that had been linked to us on multiple occasions by ITK and Ally Gold in the last week or two, which was what I was replying to.

Yeah agree, bench at Spurs or tax free guaranteed game time living in Monaco (tough choice!).

FWIW I happen to know we were keeping tabs on Bella-Kotchap this summer and his move to Dortmund has just fallen through. Might be worth watching but not seen any links yet.

Seems to be a pure defender that can't pass the ball. Don't think that he's a good fit for us. Similar to Sanchez, great recovery pace but terrible in possession of the ball. He is young and he could improve that aspect I guess.

Now that would be a proper centre half signing. Looks like the proposed Dortmund deal was loan with obligation - music to Levy’s ears! Get it done!

Southampton have just take Harwood-Bellis on loan from City with an obligation if they get promoted. They are also pushing for a other centre back from Swansea - Wood, who Martin knows well from his time there

Really talented player and has pace to burn. Would definitely be a smart move in my opinion

Doesn't look like there's a thread for him yet. Nice thing about Bella-Kotchap is he's comfortable at either RCB or LCB.
