Exactly what I wanted from Under Armour - sleek and stylish and the team look mean in it.

Not sure how much I actually like it, but it makes us look the business!

I liked it a lot, but the wrong choice yesterday. On TV, it was hard to distinguish Spurs from Reading with their dark blue hoops. I kept taking my glasses off and putting them back on to try and find the resolution that would allow me to distinguish.

Absolutely diabolical. We are Spurs not Blackburn/Newcastle/Fulham. We play in white, blue or yellow and we have occasionally thrown in a similar colour like purple or gold.

Historically and culturally it is wrong and though most football shirts are a bit naff I'd always taken pride that we consistently produced the most aesthetic kits in the top division. But this one is a howler. White, charcoal-ish squares and then a bright yellow trim on the sleeve. Who the bleep signed off the order ?

THIS

WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, WRONG

I'll admit, after hearing and reading about how terrible the kit is, I felt guilty for actually taking a liking to it. It's good to see that others (at least in this thread) also like it.

Looking back through history we have had some hideous away and 3rd kits, and we had a red away kit as recently as 1950

I still like the all black 2008-09 3rd kit

You either need new spectacles, a new television or to reposition your aerial young man. No difficulties whatsoever.

We shouldn't bag it too much, as (as others have said), it's the only kit in which we've won this season!

It's far from my favourite (I prefer an all yellow or all black third kit), but I actually think the yellow trim saves it from being extremely boring. It could even do with a bit more of the yellow.

Don't mind it at all. It's a third kit after all. QPR and Wigan away and that's the last we'll see of it.

West Brom away too!

We also had one that was orange and black, so I would love to see a retro jersey honoring that as I love orange. However, Nike is the king of orange. And we have done some black white stripe kits as specials in the past, so a black white vertical would be neat.

We would be called the jaffas.

Really, really like it. It makes us look a bit mean, too. Which makes a change from the yellow and light blue...

I can't believe so many people liked that god awful chocolate and gold kit we had 6 years ago, but dislike this.

Agree - wasn't a fan of the chocolate and gold. Bizaree combo. Much prefer the all black.

I voted this 'old', as you must be... or perhaps your TV is just a bit rubbish.

(I voted your next post 'friendly' to spread the love. The 'old' was just too tempting!).

Not impressed, like watching Feyenoord on a black and white TV

I didn't like it when I saw the pre-release 'leaked' drawings, and I didn't like it when I saw the players wearing it in the publicity shots........But I was pleasantly surprised when I saw us wearing it yesterday. It didn't look too bad at all.

I have to agree with the sentiment of your post, Adam - although I have to say that I'm completely opposed to purple and gold (and, for that matter, brown). I can live with the black and silver as it probably sells more shirts (how many white ones can one man buy?) and because it's not as bad as purple, gold or brown, but I don't like us wearing it.

But the thing that I really can't stand seeing is wearing all-white for league matches. We're not fucking Leeds United. It's fine for Europe - in fact, it's great for Europe because it's a tradition started by (Sir) Bill Nick and continued ever since; it adds to the special nature of european games. But it's simply wrong for league games. We wear navy shorts. We have ever since we settled on our colours, and we always should.

I like it a lot. I think it would be better to have an all yellow kit as the third kit, but there's nothing wrong with this one at all.

Yes agree. No need for the white shorts at home in the league. I appreciate the pressure to be different enough from the last manufacturer but the blue puma shoulder trim is an example of how to do thatand still keep the principle and be aesthetic

Anybody know what we'll be wearing on Thurs then ?

It had better be all white, or I will be seriously pissed off! I just checked UEFA's Europa League site and it doesn't seem to say.

If the club has changed to all-white for league games, I wouldn't put it past them to register blue shorts for european games. After all, if you're going to fuck up, you may as well do it properly.

Whether I like it or not is not really the issue. It didn't seem to work in practice on Sunday, where having a mix of blocks of colour made it more like the Reading shirt than if we had worn plain white or blue.
A solid block of colour i.e a shirt of one colour must be easier to see. I guess teams get used to it and we managed to pass to each other ok- or better than usual- but it just made the game more difficult to watch somehow.
