With City under FFP investigation and Chelsea already on a ban Could mean two huge spenders out the market. Convenient for Real who will surely rebuild but good for everyone else too?
I wouldn’t hold your breath on City getting anything significant. The similar investigation into PSG’s gaming of the system ended up with their chairman being put on the UEFA executive committee!

BBC gossip suggesting this morning that they are planning a €300m (£259m) bid to take Neymar to the Bernabeu.
Real are skint. Their wage bill and stadium redevelopment is killing them. Perez is floating all these stories out but in reality is holding on by his finger tips.

That's funny, Dembele was the most highly rated youngster at the same club and he's hardly pulling up any trees at Barcelona, same with Malcom.

We've been down this road twice before, there's a constant theme with French players lacking the mentality or discipline when they move to bigger leagues, even Lucas hasn't hit the ground running at Spurs and he's an experienced international, guess he can fall back on his value on transfermarkt though...

WTF???
Are you talking about Ousmane Dembele, the one they payed over 100m and is now a starter for Barcelona at the age of 21??? He made Coutinho sit on the bench, and is the 3rd rated player of Barcelona below Messi and Suarez.

A few players would have been nice. We've had the same core for too long, a lot of them basically "irreplaceable". Our midfield is below the level that we need to challenge, no back-up striker to put pressure on Kane, similar for Eriksen, and our fullbacks are just meh. Toby and Jan are getting on. We need a huge overhaul of the squad, similar to city a couple of seasons ago

We truly have so many needs that even if we had made a few additions over the past couple of windows we'd still be looking at needing significant investment in the squad. It doesn't matter who the blame falls on for not buying players, they were wrong. We've got guys that know they aren't under any pressure to lose their starting roles, so it breeds complacency. That hunger to prove a point is no longer present because they have shown they are good enough. The next phase should be to always be recruiting their replacement. That hasn't happened, and as more time has gone on the abject performances have become more commonplace.

It's too late now. We should have started the changes in the summer window. We needed a central midfielder and a new wing back. We got nothing. In january we sold Dembele.

Eriksen and Alderweireld will probably leave in the summer. Wanyama knees seems to be fucked. We need new first choices at LB and RB.

This means we need like 6 new players. It will not happen. Levy sent us 5 years back in time.

LOL at some of the names in here, if todays result and some of the form this new year hasn't told some of you where Spurs actually stand when it comes to player recruitment then perhaps you'll never realise.

Yeah. We might snip one or two from the teams getting relegated but that's about it.

Too many average players in our squad many of whom are starting to stagnate or go backwards. This is not going to be fixed in 1 transfer window, especially if we end up losing some over the summer.

More worryingly, if you were Kane, how long would you give "the project"? He's 26 in July and the best striker in the world. If he didn't come through our ranks, he would've left by now as Bale did.

Some serious player investment is required which we just don't do and this is just to replace the obvious.

If you try to look at it from a netural perspective, there's no reason for Kane to stay. Yes, we got a new stadium but this team is on the decline. I think he will give it 1-2 more seasons.

We have been in such a great position the last few years. It’s plain to see the time to improve and really kick on has been and gone. So close, but yet so far. A couple of real top quality players over the last couple of seasons and we could really have challenged. That time has gone. Our squad is starting to look very average.
We need so many players now that we’ll probably be in transition for years. We need new full backs. One possibly two centre midfielders. A forward. Toby and Eriksen also leaving in the summer. Wanyama is finished. Lamela? Lucas? Dier? Trippier? Are they good enough?
We need major surgery to the squad with owners who have shown they have no ambition to improve the squad. The summer should be fun?

There’s no reason to stay at a top 4 club, on good money, in CL QFs, with great manager, new stadium and your boyhood club where you’re a legend?

None of y’all deserve the club

This is a) pie in the sky and b) my opinion, but the sets: "Players it appears Poch would like to keep" and "Players who would happily stay this summer", have, I believe, the following intersection:

Lloris, Gazzaniga
Trippier
Vertonghen, Sánchez, Foyth
Davies
Dier, Winks, Sissoko
Dele, Son
Kane

I'm not sure about KWP, Lamela and Rose but Poch has seemed reluctant to utilise the former 2 and I'm not sure whether Rose will want to stay.

If "the project" has reached the point of reboot, that core 13-16 players is a stronger starting point than what we had when Poch arrived at least.

4-5 quality options needed though.
