Having watched the recent game of Leverkusen, I'd seriously try to get at least 2 of their players. They play the same way as us, and the last couple of players we bought from them proved to be a hit.
Brandt as Eriksen replacement
Tah for Toby
Alario as a backup striker

Sadly Havertz is out of our reach imo

Even Aranguiz would be a good signing

Although I like their players like Havertz, Brandt and Bailey, but I am not a fan of their defenders. Their defense is quite bad. But their offense is fun to watch.

With CL all but secured, the stadium delivered, the highest profits in the history of world football and by far the lowest wages to turnover ratio among the top six, there are absolutely no excuses left for the club to rely upon to not bring in top-class players.

We have stagnated for years now and it has finally caught up with us. It's only the ineptitude of our rivals that has given us a lifeline to the CL. There's no more room for complacency and negligence in the market. We need to be targeting Madrid castoffs in part exchange for Eriksen, a first-choice quality defensive midfielder, a genuine top class Eriksen replacement to ensure we aren't bereft of creativity, and top fullbacks. No more excuses.

I am sorry but Toby is fantastic. We will not be able to afford or attract a centre back of his quality. We could though sign a player that could turn into a CB that is as good. Or hope that Sanchez and Foyth develop into world class players

Sanchez certainly has the talent to develop into a quality centre back, not so convinced about Foyth as he seriously needs to beef up. Sanchez and Toby/Verts have been exposed this season due to the constant chopping and changing of our full backs and our soft centre in midfield. Fix these issues and Sanchez should continue to improve.

I know it’s a small sample size but having seen Brighton against us and the Scum today I’ve been really impressed with their Centre Backs. If we lose Toby I think we could do a lot worse than Dunk.

I like the fact he seems a bit of an old school defender who thinks defending first. Our defence has been getting more vulnerable over the last two years, although we’ve also been scoring less comparatively, which explains our struggles recently.
Don’t mean to slag you off, but you really don’t understand anything about Pochettino’s football if you think Dunk or Duffy could be CBs for him.

Madrid castoffs are castoffs for a reason - that does not mean that they are what we need.
Lets look for the next CE - whether it be Brandt, Rabiot, Grealish or a n other.
We need to develop, possibly change our game plan, time for MP to show his new vision for Spurs.

The value of Winks has been shown up in recent performances.
Last season thought he had become too negative and happy just to lay back ball when received.
His game has developed this year and managed / rotated correctly he is now a fundamental part of our team.

Winks when fit has been very good but his fitness concerns can’t ignored. For this reason and for as long as he stays with us he can only be considered a 1st team squad option. Given the amount of games we play and the need for rotation he’ll still get a hell of a lot of games. Winks, Sissoko + 2 newbies of at least equal quality and we’ll be much stronger.

Bruno Fernandes beating Frank Lampard's midfield goal record with 31 goals this season - assume he's been mentioned but is it he totally out of our league?

They’re more of a Michael Dawson ilk... decent players but will get murdered for an offensive team as they’ll be exposed at the back and they lack sufficient quality to negate their weaknesses. In a team that predominantly keeps 10 men behind the ball they will excel but we don’t play this way.

Not all of their castoffs would be suitable for us, but are you really saying you would turn your nose up at the likes of Bale, Isco, Asensio, or Marcos Llorente? Any one of them could feasibly leave and I'd certainly be glad to have them.

As for the Ericksen replacement, any top young talent is going to require the kind of outlay that we have not shown a willingness to invest in the past. We've got to change the way we operate, as Poch keeps saying in the media.

Being comfortable under pressure in possession is one of the key things Poch looks for, these two treat the ball like a handgrenade.

The issue we have with many of the players we can 'afford' is that they play for teams who set up so differently to us
In premiership, they often play for the teams that set-up with no intention of playing football. Sitting deep, look to hit on counter, give no space.
Makes it hard to determine whether they can actually fit in to a team like ours. Zaha is the obvious candidate, looks great at Palace with some good stats but these are mostly away numbers when they are looking to hit on counter. Home numbers not so good BUT its these that have most relevance to us. How creative can they be when teams park the bus.

There is really now no excuse for not going out and having a decent net spend. I believe it was something like 80-90 mill that Spurs made from this CL semi final run and now that CL is almost certainly guaranteed for next year, the money should be there, even with the stadium. Three straight windows of no spending as well. ITK has said the money was supposedly there last year, so again no excuse to not have a significant net spend that gets Poch players he wants.

Right back
2 new non defensive CM
1 Wide attacker - because Bobby lamela is never fit.
1 Eriksen replacement if needed
1 Toby replacement if needed
1 creator to compete with eriksen/Dele

Could be magnificent 7 all over again

Le10 Sport: NDombele might choose Spurs over PSG and Juventus
Pulling in one of the most sought after midfielders in Europe would be a coup for Spurs

According to French outlet Le10sport, Tanguy NDombele might be a Tottenham player next season. Firing up the Google translate machine, and talking to a friend who speaks French, Le10 are reporting that Tottenham are among 4 teams willing to pay Lyon what they are demanding for the midfielder, along with PSG, Juventus, and Manchester City.

While the other three are obviously a cut above Spurs in terms of money, according to Le10, Spurs have 2 things going for them in their pursuit of NDombele: First, he wants to make the French squad for Euro 2020 and only Spurs can guarantee playing time. Second, he likes Pochettino’s style of play. Nonetheless, Le10 says his heart is with PSG or Juventus, but Spurs have a chance and his decision is coming soon.

After striking out at signing a replacement for Mousa Dembele last season, Spurs are in desperate need of a midfielder who can win the ball, resist the press, and advance the ball up the pitch. NDombele demonstrated this season that he can do just that. Per Statsbomb, he was an absolute wrecking ball this season for Lyon:

NDombele was key to Lyon’s victory over Manchester City in the Champions League group stages and led them to the knockout round this season, and has them on track to make Champions League again this season. He’d slot right into Spurs midfield and would fix one of the massive weaknesses of the team this season.

This one still feels like a long shot but also this season I watched VAR send Spurs into the Champions League semifinal and this morning I watched Brighton and Huddersfield potentially save Spurs’ season and ability to recruit a guy like NDombele. Why not let the good times roll.
