Not all of their castoffs would be suitable for us, but are you really saying you would turn your nose up at the likes of Bale, Isco, Asensio, or Marcos Llorente? Any one of them could feasibly leave and I'd certainly be glad to have them.

As for the Ericksen replacement, any top young talent is going to require the kind of outlay that we have not shown a willingness to invest in the past. We've got to change the way we operate, as Poch keeps saying in the media.
Would i take Bale back. For everything apart from where we want to go then yes - but in reality NO. He did us proud but we have both moved on and a re-acquaintance would not be beneficial to either party.
Isco - few years ago fine, now no.
Asensio - not what we need.

Sure the names, the PR would be great but not for the betterment of team.

CE replacement - yes may take balls but truly believe if club find right person, at right age then they will splash the cash.
But dont believe all you hear from Poch, he has an agenda too its not all DL.

Le10 Sport: NDombele might choose Spurs over PSG and Juventus
Pulling in one of the most sought after midfielders in Europe would be a coup for Spurs

According to French outlet Le10sport, Tanguy NDombele might be a Tottenham player next season. Firing up the Google translate machine, and talking to a friend who speaks French, Le10 are reporting that Tottenham are among 4 teams willing to pay Lyon what they are demanding for the midfielder, along with PSG, Juventus, and Manchester City.

While the other three are obviously a cut above Spurs in terms of money, according to Le10, Spurs have 2 things going for them in their pursuit of NDombele: First, he wants to make the French squad for Euro 2020 and only Spurs can guarantee playing time. Second, he likes Pochettino’s style of play. Nonetheless, Le10 says his heart is with PSG or Juventus, but Spurs have a chance and his decision is coming soon.

After striking out at signing a replacement for Mousa Dembele last season, Spurs are in desperate need of a midfielder who can win the ball, resist the press, and advance the ball up the pitch. NDombele demonstrated this season that he can do just that. Per Statsbomb, he was an absolute wrecking ball this season for Lyon:

NDombele was key to Lyon’s victory over Manchester City in the Champions League group stages and led them to the knockout round this season, and has them on track to make Champions League again this season. He’d slot right into Spurs midfield and would fix one of the massive weaknesses of the team this season.

This one still feels like a long shot but also this season I watched VAR send Spurs into the Champions League semifinal and this morning I watched Brighton and Huddersfield potentially save Spurs’ season and ability to recruit a guy like NDombele. Why not let the good times roll.

Yep - they report that 4 clubs have approached Lyon- PSG, Juve, and United as well as us. Real Madrid and City are also interested without having made formal contact.

CFC have made an error in translating - United not city have made approach for him.

Watching Yves laugh is great and he has been good when I've watched him play maybe 4 times this season?

I know for a fact that we were linked

Bruno Fernandes beating Frank Lampard's midfield goal record with 31 goals this season - assume he's been mentioned but is it he totally out of our league?
I've heard this....does nobody consider how much shitter the Portuguese league is??? How's he breaking Lampards record?

By all accounts he does look very good though.

Two top class central midfielders please. Gueye from Everton would be class.

Really hope we go back in for Grealish as well. Would have been a quality option in our run in.

A striker with a bit more pace than a wheelie bin would also be useful as a Kane substitute.

It all depends on Eriksen and Toby staying or going. If they go we definitely need to replace them. And that will cost alot.
If they stay;
- I would have a look on both left and right back. Trippier and Aurier not good enough. Need to sell one and buy one. Also if we could get a hold of a left back that would be good. Love Danny and hes been good but there is just to many issues. Chillwell???
- Need a box to box midfielder. Dembele was sold and not replaced. I want a marquee signing in this spot.
- Something new and fresh up front, striker/wing type. Will Llorente go? And lamela, what up with lamela.

Lloris, Gazzaniga, Yoof
Trippier/Aurier, KWP/?
Alderweireld, Sánchez, Foyth
Vertonghen, Yoof
Rose, Davies
Dier, Skipp ?
Sissoko, Winks
Lucas, Yoof
Eriksen, Grealish
Dele, Sessegnon
Kane, Son

I don't hate Trippier and Aurier deserves more time imo, but I accept one of them probably needs to go. If Poche really doesn't rate KWP then he needs to be replaced with a new youngster that he does.

The CM needs to be really fucking good, preferably deep lying while still having the ability to play a bit.

Grealish and Sessegnon are both ready for the PL now and have lots of scope to improve rapidly.

The other yoofs could be signings or from our own academy (e.g. the AM could be Edwards).

I think people are underestimating the impact that a proper rest over the summer and a totally settled off-pitch situation can have on this talented squad.

Don’t mean to slag you off, but you really don’t understand anything about Pochettino’s football if you think Dunk or Duffy could be CBs for him.

Maybe, but it’s a shame you didnt realise before you posted how unnecessarily condescending that comment is.

Whatever we do, do it early. That's all I ask.

I can imagine we would get Sessegnon tied up early, and hopefully Grealish depending on the villa situation.

It's going to be interesting either way. There's gonna be a lot of outs I'd imagine. Looks like next season will be a battle of City, Liverpool and who of the chasing 4 does a better rebuilding job. We're all a shambles right now

Right back
2 new non defensive CM
1 Wide attacker - because Bobby lamela is never fit.
1 Eriksen replacement if needed
1 Toby replacement if needed
1 creator to compete with eriksen/Dele

Could be magnificent 7 all over again
