Classless bloke. Insecure and arrogant. I often wonder how we’d look at him if Van Gaal hadn’t turned us down for United and Kane got booted to Leicester

The comment clarifies that they tried for some time to get Kane to sign a new deal, be it short term or long term. Had that been left unaddressed it would be open to all sorts of media, fan and ITK speculation.
By all means blame Levy for his part in our lack of silverware - but not for making the situation clear.

They knew it was likely they were going to sell their best player and most popular player and still raised those prices.

The greed , arrogance and ignorance that runs through the veins of Levy and his collection of friends at the top is clear.

You can cling into the price as good business if you want and I'm sure they will throw a couple of new toys that will make some forget but not me.

To waste a generational talent like Harry, to essentially push him out because he realised that ENIC have no intention of pushing on beyond a hopeful top four race, that's the limit of their ambitions and to make it worse not only do they not want to financially compete but they can't compete strategically aswell.

The day they sell will be like winning a trophy.

Kane left because ENIC didn’t match his ambition and no more gentlemen’s agreements, false promises or any contract Levy threw in desperation was going to make the difference, you can bury your head in the sand or see that ENIC again have massively failed the fan.

They can do that if they wish, but in what is essentially a goodbye statement to one of our best players. Sorry completely classless.

If we struggle this season things will get very toxic very quickly.

It was very telling in Harry's message, when he said something like toward the top of the table. Rather than challenging for the title.

Shows how little faith the players have in the club ambition and why he felt he had no choice but to leave.

Levy had so many chances to get it right, we were on the cusp and he blew it.

Any other job with such mismanagement that leads to your home grown world class striker leaving to challenge for trophies would result in a sacking.

Levy has no excuses left, no where to hide.

There's so much riding on Ange getting it right and a decent start., yet Ange like many other managers before him is entering a season without a settled squad.

Levy thinks top 4 is success because it’s money. All about the £££

It might be classless but more importantly it’s self-defeating and they can’t even see it. They’ve admitted putting money before ambition. They could have kept him and risked losing him for free. They chose the money.

He is unsackable, unless possibly the entire stadium turned on him. Which obviously would not be good for the team. Added to that there are still apologists for Levy about, who are are happy for us to tread water under him forever.

What a pathetic little man. My god that statement is an absolute disgrace trying to claim some kind of moral high ground and justification for Kane leaving.
Please, please people get together and force this parasite out.

Let's not forget Ange's teams are notoriously slow starters let's give him time changing managers wouldn't solve a thing.

Get behind the team and Ange. Focus on the board

He’s still not resign. He’d just not come to games for a while

Nope, speculating on the details but know that Kane was receptive to it but Levy wanted him out the door.

Levy confirmed short and long term contracts were presented:

‘We sought over a long period of time to engage Harry and his representatives in several forms of contract extension, both short and long term. Harry was clear, however, that he wanted a fresh challenge and would not be signing a new contract this summer. We have reluctantly, therefore, agreed to his transfer.’
