When you listen to how this guy was always prepared for a DoF and Manager leaving, it really shows the incompetence of DL. Succesion planning is a key part of an organisation, but in an industry so fluid as football is, it shoudl be a fundamental part.

I don't want new owners particuarly; the only people/organisations that are wealthy enough to own EPL clubs nowadays all have huge draw backs, but DL needs to step aside and let somebody else take over the reigns (he could even remain as some sort of non-exec to save face, if needs be). As a very adept businessman, he shoudl be able to see where a new strucutre is needed and it needs to start from the top.

I honestly think those days are gone. The game changed and Levy didn't.

When West Ham went down we got Carrick and Defoe for around £10m combined, seemingly with no competition. When Bournemouth went down City paid huge for Ake and Newcastle bought Callum Wilson.

The Lloris deal looked dead, then at the end of the window we got him. Nowadays if the French number 1 is available, there's no time to wait it out.

When was the last time a VDV became available on deadline day?

We can do deals for players with release clauses or players with a year left for a reduced fee, but this just massively reduces the quality pool of players you are looking at.

The game is up for him in a big way.

Majority of match day fans have given up on him as seen by the reaction against Brentford.

Every home game, especially those that end in draw or defeat will be the same. It will be "Levy out" chants every match.

New bloke won't stand a chance, especially if he starts off badly. That happens and it will just escalate and escalate. If people think Sanchez getting booed was bad, then wait and see, soon it will be all the players getting it.

We are past the tipping point and once that has been reached it cant be turned around. Levy has managed to avoid the majority of fans frustrations but now it is at boiling point.

This is amazing - how did we let this man leave our club and why are we not trying everything to get him back. Amazing insight so smart particularly about setting club up for future aspirations and having system in place should staff leave. We a million miles away from this.

Any chance the Qataris come in for a bid?
I do not welcome Qatari takeover of the club, but I think my position would be that i'd welcome them to oust Levy and then i'd probably immediately call for them to sell up. If we have to get two owners out to get the right one in then so be it.

Everything i've heard suggests the Lewisette wouldn't piss on Levy if he was on fire, but how much real power does she have..........
While the club is making money I’d say she doesn’t give a shit anyway. Levy owns a share in the club in his family name anyway so I don’t know if he would be forced out.

No legal power that's for sure. We don't even know if she is a discretionary beneficiary under the trust that now owns the majority of the club. Personally, I wouldn't hold any hope on her being the answer. The only answer is a full sale.

I really want to listen to that when I heard he was going on it. But then at the same time I don't because I don't want it to confirm how badly we are actually run!

Can’t post in the Manager Thread but for me, I’m starting to actively dislike this club under Levy’s stewardship and rather than look to grasp the last straw of hope, it’s abundantly clear that our reputation as a credible football club with these incumbents is plunging new depths of despair.

Will anything force their hands?!? I might have to just prep myself for the situation getting worse before they get better.

Totally agree about the game moving on. I also think that building us from a mid-table team to top-four contenders suited Levy's skillset and financial instincts.

The real problems arose when managers sought to make that final push into the elite. Levy has consistently put the breaks on when we seemed to be on the verge of something big. First with Redknapp, then Pochettino.

That was so long ago I'm not even sure Pepperidge Farm remembers...

For me, Levy’s last chance was Conte. The JN and Slot calamity merely confirms that Levy has an agenda that has nothing to do with the betterment of OUR club.

He’s already made us a laughing stock and no one of worth wants to touch us. All on Levy. No one else.
