I sometimes think we’re too harsh in Daniel when we think of where we were when he came in BUT…

Last game of the season and the only thing we have to “fight” for is a place in the third tier European Mickey Mouse Conference League!

What’s worse is it’s all been so predicable, I like many others saw this in Jan/Feb. Even when Liverpool were over 10 points behind us many of us could see the rot had set in here and knew they’d put up more of a fight for CL than us. Now we’ve switched places.

Yet our great leader couldn’t see it and fucked about giving Conte too many chances when it was obvious where we were headed and followed it up with two pointless interim managers.

We should have had back up plans drawn up and ready after the World Cup knowing that Conte only had six months left on his deal and triggers ready to pull should he not commit.

This period trumps the two windows where we didn’t sign anyone as the biggest shit show. At least we played good football then.

Anyone notice the consoling pat on the knee from Mrs Levy to Daniel
towards the end of the game?
It was on my DAZN feed in Spain not sure if it was on UK feeds.

I assume it was during some 'Levy out' protests but I always watch football
with the sound turned down as I can't stand commentary, in Spanish or in English

It will just be repeat of when Ramos lost Berbatov and Keane in one window and Fraizer Campbell came in. We got 2 points from 8 games and desperately hired Redknapp to dig us out. Who will be our Redknapp next year I wonder. Save us Big Sam.
We had Modric, Bale, King and Lennon in this group. I don’t see much of this quality in the current group, so with no Kane it could be a difficult watch next season

We should ALWAYS have a continuity plan for all members of management and playing staff. Anyone of them could, at any time, get hit by a bus, have to leave for personal reasons, (such as serious illness or a career-ending injury) or any manner of other life scenarios.
Even if Conte had been tearing it up in the Premier League, we should’ve had a list of four or five managers, we would be looking to interview should anything happen to him. Surely this is basic business management.
What I found particularly interesting yesterday was Ryan Mason’s comment about needing to establish a plan and sticking to it. If the chairman and the board need this pointed out to them by 31-year-old relatively new to football management in any capacity, then heaven help this club!

We had young players who weren't performing in a horrid team. We got a manager who got them performing. We're in the same situation now. We have young talent not performing like Romero, Porro, Kulusevski and there's Bentancur to return. Bissouma and Richarlison are also pretty young. We have more quality than we're seeing at the moment. We're still better on paper than the likes of Brighton and Villa, possibly even Newcastle. They're just managed a lot better so are better as teams. It's been a few years so I think we've forgot what that's like.

I think this is the big issue with Levy. We don't know whether he will get the manager right. He's also the reason we look good on paper because he just gets opportunistic signings. We need to get the structure right and sign players who fit the team not the budget. If he gets those things right we can be good even without Kane.

We were 3rd when we sacked Conte for telling the truth about the club. We’re more likely to finish 9th then even getting that bs conference league competition. Levy’s done his best to ruin the season with his penny smart, dollar stupid transfer dealings & his ego. Yet another mark on his stellar resumé.

Conte had to go after those comments.

It's quite funny to see some say we are too harsh or that people are going too far. Man Utd fans have songs about the glazers dying and Arsenal had years long concerted plan to get changes at board and mgmt level.

Now I'm not saying we should wish or sing about harming anyone but if people think they're getting rid of ENIC with a few purple scarves and half hearted chants drowned out by the PA system (pathetic from the club btw) then they will be very disappointed

I’m not saying there wasn’t truth in what he said but he made his position untenable with what he said and how he chose to do it

yes and Levy could have accepted responsibility for the mess and resigned the chairmanship but he didn’t. Sacking Conte and resigning himself would have been acceptable in my view considering the many many many failures but he has no shame so here we are.

Makes you wonder what would have to happen, for Levy to step away from the club? The little pat on the leg he got from his Mrs yesterday, without him even blinking, says a lot more than the gesture, I’d think.

He’s run his course, he’s not a football man. And I truly believe that at times when we could have stepped up a gear and really gone for it, he has deliberately not gone for the right option. The right option would put him out of his depth, and show him up. This guy is happy with us being a top 7-3 team and winning nothing, because it suits his own abilities to run us that way. The term ‘Spursy’ has only come about during his reign, and he is the most ‘Spursy’ thing about it all.

Yes I believe it was during the Levy out protests. You have to wonder what is going through his head. Has it actually ever crossed his mind that he has got it wrong. Highly unlikely unfortunately 😥

He said during the Cambridge Uni interview that he feels most criticism is unwarranted. The guy has totally jumped the shark and lives in la-la land.
