There’s no way Levy can sell Kane this summer. He’ll have to just let him leave for free the year after if it comes to it. It’s far too toxic at the club atm for Levy to sanction the sale of Kane.

Be interesting to see how long his new no 2 lasts. He’s a serious control freak, and I can’t imagine his no 2 will put up for it for too long.

a lot of top managers in the world are reluctant to work with him, and you can see why!

You know nothing about the guy, or the managers you claim supposedly won’t work with him.

People really do spout some rubbish on here…. Just make stuff up, or believe what others have made up.

None of us know what the guy is like as a person, or to work with. None of us know what other top managers think of him…most of them probably know nothing about him, and would never have had any dealings with him….

it’s not even speculation, it’s just made up bullshit to suit an agenda….

I don't think any fan will begrudge Kane leaving this summer. The man has given us the best years of his career, he deserves a move. Last thing we need is another unmotivated Kane for the first 10 games of the season if we force him to stay. Let the lad leave, get some money and invest.

My hope is that Kane manages to leave the way Henry left for Barca.
An honorable exit a club legend deserves, with just enough time left to win a medal.
The only question is whether Kane is willing to go to Spain. My gut says yes.

He’ll be pissed off with no European football and the revenue that loses him
Meh.... Na he won't, he'll offset it against the long-term super contacts for those Champions League quality players he never sighed, as justification to the board.....He'll wriggle out of that one.... As said previously the only way is for those bums on seats to find something eles to do for a few months.... An empty stadium is the way, but that is easier said than done for supporters and Levy knows that the cunning LITTLE F**KER...

I don’t think it’s the fans begrudging Kane leaving I think it will be more the fact that Levy has sold our best player who will be irreplaceable. If he goes for free at the end of his contract Levy can try to save face and say, “we did everything we could to get him to sign a new contract blah blah blah”. Selling our best player in the middle of this s***storm would be crazy. Levy might get away with it if it’s to a team abroad but if it’s to Man Utd it will get very ugly.

I really am not. How much has Levy spent on Conte and Mourinho? Not to mention the likes of Richarlison, NDombele etc.? Our problem isn't what we're spending, it's who we're spending it on and whether they suit the manager/system. Levy has his faults, but to say he doesn't spend enough is a myth. How much were Conte and Moruinho on? Hardly cheap managers to bring in were they.
Said it before, it doesnt matter how much you spend on a manager, if you dont give that manager the structure he needs to be successful

Spurs have everything in place apart from the manager. Players have gone backwards under Jose and Conte; Jose was poor on fitness, while Conte ran them into the ground. Chuck in the World Cup and that stupid pre season, it’s no wonder we look off the pace.

From what i read, any manager that comes in has a board behind them that cant agree on anything. How many failed managers can we blame?

Look if it wasn’t for Graham,Pleat,Hoddle,Santini,Jol,Allen,Inglethorpe,Ramos,Redknapp,AVB,Sherwood,Poch,Mourinho,Mason,Nuno,Conte,Stellini then I could understand you having a problem with Levy but come on blame the right 17 people.

I do Ben. Met with him in person many times And had many dealings including one to one comms. There is of course much hype and speculation and in my view the issue is him meddling with the choice of players. It isn’t money spent as he gets accused, our managers and players should have delivered more trophies than the pathetic one under his tenure. Ultimately he came into THFC not really knowing much about football, he has learnt what he knows in situ and therefore canvasses a small group of trusted football advisors for his decision making. It is this that brings him into clashes with his managers.

Poch did not fail.

If you call that failure - wow.
100% I agree with you on Poch, likewise Jol Redknapp and to an extent Conte.

But what I'm getting at these managers failed in sense they didn't get to complete or fulfil their projects because of the Board & Levy.

😂 😂 That is amazing when you look at all the names. Especially when you think under Jol, Redknapp and Poch was probably the best football we have played since Venables left.

Who was responsible for bringing in Dembele, Verts, Eriksen, Walker, Rose, Loris, Trippier, Dele? Was it Damien Comolli or Pleat or a mixture of both? We probably had some duds as well but that was a lot of hits all around the same time. Haven’t really had that many good players at the same time for a while. That was the platform for Poch to build his team. Allegedly Poch didn’t want to work with a DoF but the good signings dried up after these guys I would say Toby and Wanyama (for a season) and Son were the only good players signed during Poch’s time (two he had managed before I think?) Maybe working with a DoF would have changed things or even made the club actually make some more signings.

I'm not totally sold on Kompany myself. What he has done is admirable and he does seem like he has huge potential.

I think I was just hoping more for Gallardo as he is seriously top notch and would be like Poch first time and then Slot because he would have european expeirence to go with his impressive ability to get more out of a weak group of players.

But I suppose Kompany is an influential character, he is very driven, he is an excellent communicator, he knows what it takes in the PL and his team are very well coached/play top football.

Think having Munn will maybe lean more towards Kompany or Ange and that would be a good thing as they are from a similar model.

It's not down to simply spending money. Of course there have been sliding doors moments in the past where he should have invested from a position of strength. But he didn't.

More recently, it's the lack of strategy and cohesion between the transfer committee or whatever other structures have been in place.

He has no clue, and no shame
