Terrible record in cups , league cup semis 2007 and 2019 , league cup finalists 2002, 2008, 2009, 2015 & 2021. FA Cup semis 2001, 2010, 2012, 2017, 2018 , Champions League final 2019, players and managers must try harder, all Levy's fault as usual , did he bribe the players not to win.
Literally sacked a serial winning Cup specialist a week before a cup final

He has zero interest in actually winning silverware and that runs through the club and now seeps into supporters who think finishing 4th or even possibly 5th now is better than actually winning some

Absolutely correct, I have it first hand that before the Champions League Final Levy called Kane, Son, Deli and Eriksen into his office and told them I don't want you to turn up for the final , just take it easy, need you fresh for the summer tour.

Well Arsenal and Liverpool have also focused on cup competitions enough to win them, it seems fairly clear we prioritise our league finish over any cup competition we are in.

When do you think the club to be in a position compete with teams like Arsenal and Liverpool?

What? Arsenal lucked out on FA cup win in Arteta's first season.

And Klopp didn't win anything for the first 3(?) seasons of his tenure. Up until the last few season he was basically playing youth teams in domestic cup comps and prioritising CL and league.

The club is clearly putting the pieces in place to challenge both those clubs. Ange has only been here for less than a season, Munn has only been here less than a season, additional revenue only been available for what, 2 seasons?

You're comparing us to Liverpool and Arsenal as if we've been competing on equal financial footing for the last 10+ years. That's demonstrably not true. Let's give this new structure and additional revenue a few seasons please.

Remember Arsenal were a laughing stock under Arteta, despite his lucky cup win. Fans wanted him out, pundits thought they were miles off competing with us let alone challenging for the title. Their ownership played the long game, kept backing him and here we are, talking like they are the standard bearers smh

His bonus will be primarily based on business growth, so a certain increase in turnover and profit as well as the ratio of opex increase to profit increase the same as any other big business.
Our turnover went up from £444 million to £549.6 million, operating profit from £112.3 to £138.7 million, and whilst operating expense went up 21% operating profit increased around 24%. Our final losses are basically made up as they primarily consist up of just writing off £72 million of the value of the stadium.
These kind of results would trigger his maximum bonus.

Bonuses based on performance on the pitch would be for the football staff.
Just as bonuses for building products would be for production staff at a manufacturing company.
as Alfie said, this is the right answer- but it shouldn’t be…

He should also be held accountable for what happens on the pitch as he recruits and maintains oversight of the leaders on the football side.

He has made a whole series of unacceptably bad decisions like those I’ve already mentioned

These decisions have also led to less or wasted revenue.

He should have docked his own basic for his duff managerial appointments.

8th.

What do you think we have been doing for the last ten years?
Building a world leading stadium and training ground.
Laying the foundations to enable us to compete on a financial level that is both legal and sustainable.

It appears as though we are now at that point, as long as Levy stays away from meddling with the footie side of things, so it just seems a little churlish to be complaining at this point in time.

It's not like we haven't had our chances to win things over the past decade.

Think of the prize money we would have won!

People have extremely short memories. The football under Jose at that point was so bad, there was absolutely no way we were going to win that final. A change had to be made to give us half a chance.

People talk about these finals in such simplistic terms, like Levy was just ‘unlucky’, the best example I have 2017 Tottenham 4-1 Liverpool, 2018 Tottenham erm 2018 Liverpool Van Dijk Allison, 2019 Liverpool CL winners…

For years our transfer policy was undeniably one of two things, round pegs square holes as the deal was right, and two never building from a position of strength, only spending when backs were to the wall.

We seem to have finally stopped the 1st thing thankfully, time will tell if CL footy is enough when we finally get back there again, but to say we were unlucky over the years and don’t blame Levy for final losses is simplistic BS, Levy and ENIC had a bigger say than anyone why we were serial losers, proof is in the pudding, the only one constant…

If you say so mate - watching Ryan Mason lead us out and then seeing that dreadful, lacklustre performance at Wembley was very very sad
