So apparently a load of fans want enic out. A few fans go to the trouble of arranging a protest against them and from what I could see it was another case of one man and his dog being there. Sorry to say this but as a fan base we are so apathetic on some things it's bordering on pathetic.

Like I said, Danjuma plays LWF, Conte wants RWF, similar MO from the little one.
Poch wanted a LWF (Mane) when actually the team needed a RWF + a CM.

Lamela (the only true RWF in the squad) was the injury prone one, plus Eriksen and Dele were both more effective coming in off the left than the right.

We finished 2nd in the league that season, despite Sissoko playing a lot.

I am pretty sure mane is the one he wanted.
From what I remember Levy didn’t want to push the boat out an extra couple million.

I swear he looks at players like getting bits from b&q.
“I wanna to get a couple chrome light switches, but these plastic ones that are sprayed silver feel flimsy but look similar and are a £5 cheaper….they both have buttons that make a clicky sound, that will do.”

I’m sure the wages were the issue

Even though we had already signed a quality LW (Son) only a year earlier - which is most likely why Levy didn't try to outbid Liverpool for his signature.

If Poch hadn't wanted Sissoko, would Levy really have splurged a record transfer fee on him, would Poch have been so complimentary of him, and would Poch have continued to select him even when the fans were booing him?
It was the typical Levy secaniro, dicked around trying to sign Wijnaldum & Mane who Poch wanted, who both were very gettable as we were ahead of Pool then. Didn't get either, so had to pay over the odds for Sissoko on deadline day.

Perfect example were had Dan pushed even a little and it wouldn't have put a dent in the ENIC bank, what a fucking difference Mane & Wijnaldum would have made.

That’s not the point though is it? The question was, is sissoko the one Poch wanted and the answer to that question is no.
The job of the chairman is to back the manager to the best he can which means getting the players (realistic targets within our means) asked by the managers, not some opportunistic buys that’s too good to turn down or panic buys at the last day when he gets that he had fucked up.
If he doesn’t trust him then he shouldn’t have hired him in the first place

100% it was wages. Was reported at the time and subsequently that we met him after agreeing a deal with club but we couldn't get near Liverpool's wages. Same with winaldum (sp).

Perfectly sums it up, winners find a way. Levy is not a winner.
