When was the last time we appointed an elite, proven, world class manager who is still in his prime at the time of his appointment? Graham and Mourinho had been elite but were past their prime when they joined us. Poch may have developed into an elite manager during his time here but was clearly not elite when we appointed him.
Gross.

Gross that it took this long, I mean. Obviously.

Sky's reporter said there's academy games at Hotspur Way today and that someone came out of there all excited as they'd seen Conte shaking hands with various people in there.

Translated the article:

A busy day, very intense. Antonio Conte is about to become the new Tottenham coach, after two incredible days that would be worth an excellent study, door to door, to reconstruct any type of indiscretion within the 48 hours that overturned the Spurs world. Conte had a long summit of over three hours with Levy and Paratici to talk about contracts and guarantees on the market, he is excited to return to the Premier League, Tottenham intrigues him. The summit of over three hours will continue for dinner, between tonight and tomorrow there will be the signature on the contract which - we remember - will be until 2023 with possible options. Conte will direct his first training session tomorrow, after the last formal steps, in order to be ready to lead Tottenham on Thursday in the Europa League against Vitesse. His staff will be the historical one: from Stellini to Coratti and Bruno, without forgetting his brother Gianluca. And now the first night in London, a city he knows well and where he won at the helm of Chelsea.

With Conte announcement sounding imminent, I'm now fully expecting the appointment of Neil Warnock

Looks like he's actually getting his full backroom staff too.

Very good!

And he has his staff with him. That's incredible news too.

I feel sorry for Nuno to be fair, ecstatic hes gone but I hope hes strong mentally because if not not doubt this period would have affected him. Hope he can pick himself back up
A quick check of his bank account balance might cheer him up. He failed as a manager and walks away with millions, lots of other people I feel sorry for dealing with real life problems.

Listening to Radio 5 live the last hour and they’re absolutely gutted he’s coming to us. Marcotti can’t or is refusing to believe it. Chappers the only one who seems to be enjoying it. Micah Richards just can’t understand why he’d come to us, I think he’s a bit simple.
