Promising funds for something that hasn't even happened yet is classic Levy :ROFLMAO:

Let's hope for everyone's sake this supposed deal goes through soon.
It's typical Tottenham, let's be honest.

A potentially great situation on the horizon, looks a banker and then just doesn't happen when it is supposed to or at all causing issues in the short-term. Like moving into the stadium on time, or giving a penalty away in the first minute of a CL final.

It's very hard to not feel that we have been cursed.

To be fair it' their fault if they believe what Levy says, everyone knows not to trust his verbal agreements.
It's not really that simple though.

Levy might very well have promised that any windfall from a certain deal will be put towards transfers, but he is not the only deciding factor when it comes to closing said deal between two or more independent parties.

What's actually important is that both Levy, Paratici and Conte has the same understanding of the situation.

Oh dear - that’s not good…(goat)

Yeah, brill.
More pitchforks at the ready.

Just what we need. As if everyone isn’t (needlessly) frothing at the mouth enough as it is…

Common sense disappeared long ago in this thread, so I anticipate this will be another morsel for the hyperbolic knee-jerkers to help spread poison and “opinion” like they’re facts.

Why does anyone not realise that perpetuating the nonsense just creates more of it??

Huge herd mentality amongst football fans. One person goes off quoting all these opinions (because they’re not able to form their own) and it just perpetuates. Before you know it, you have a fanbase full of people really mad and wound up because of their inability to be able to take a step back and realise they don’t have the full picture.

They get on the teams back, they get on the managers back, they get on everyone’s back and everything just becomes worse.

Sometimes, the “fans” have to realise that it’s very easy for them to be a (smallish) part of the problem.

Booing the team. How does Conte know that’s not directed at him? How does he know the fan opinion and it’s the players we’re annoyed with? It’s not exactly going to endear us to him, is it?!

FFS. It’s so shortsighted and idiotic, it’s unreal.

Fabrizio saying we need to sell before we buy & he expects deals to happen in final week / days of the window.

As I’ve been saying since the window opened. One in one out unless there’s a deal too good to be true. We just don’t have the money because of covid losses and the owners don’t fund us themselves.

Thinking again about Traore and the loan to buy thing. That the last offer we actually made them in the summer was a £5m loan fee for the season. Why would we move away from that as our offer?

Well, there goes my optimism. Promising funds from a deal that wasn't signed. Can't see Conte sticking around beyond the summer if he's only got peanuts to try and compete with the big clubs of the PL.

The Goat’s bleat doesn’t sound like it’s saying that deal is dead, just taking longer than expected.

We weren’t fixing things anyway this Jan so if we can do enough to improve somewhat, push for top 4 and then go big when the new finances come in the summer, I’m fine with that.

I’m choosing to be a bit optimistic here because Levy is not an idiot and knows what happens if this deal/some financial input doesn’t arrive. We all want the same thing here.

Yeah the bleat isn't good is it.... You can only hope (as seems to be the case at least) that Conte & Paratici understand an accept this for the time being.

We've heard time and time again from Conte that we can't fix everything in January but Levy seriously needs to live up to his "amazing businessman" reputation and get this shit boxed off for the end of season window IMO otherwise that will be panic stations and Conte will be ofski.

For what my opinion's worth (which is not a lot admittedly) i think Conte is understanding of the situation at the minute... but i don't expect that his patience will continue if the money doesn't start coming in for transfers by the end of the season.

Lol we're Spurs. We simply are never allowed nice things. The deal is likely dead.

Oh well. Sometimes business deals are more complicated than they first seemed. Hopefully we'll get at least one of our targets this window.

I’m stunned anyone has any faith in Levy at this point.

Does anyone know if you can use amortisation re players value as a tax write off. If not Levy is not that clever as we have a load of players whose value is diminishing by the day, not just Ndombele and dele but kane will soon be a free transfer too. From a squad worth maybe 5-600m it may now be worth 200m at best!
