~ I wanted Louis van Gaal, and was disappointed when we got Poch.
~ I didn't think Harry Kane would be good enough. League one at best.
~ I thought Salah would be a one season wonder.
~ I was worried that Arsenal signing Denis Suarez in January would be the final push for them to climb above us in the league, as we were pretty close on points at that point IIRC. Up until recently, when he announced he wouldn't play for the rest of the season, I'd forgot he'd signed for them.

Most of us were probably wrong at half time in Amsterdam. I bet 99% of us thought the adventure was over.
Well it was to be fair. Thats what made the turn around both for us and Liverpool so amazing. Both teams were dead and buried. What we both achieved was nothing short of miraculous.
Liverpools cl final against AC Milan, Jesus and Lazarus were the last comebacks to even come close.

I dont get much wrong BUT

I did get Poch wrong - I wanted Frankie De Boer - fuck me sideways...

We really hit the jackpot with him but I also think he hit the jackpot with us - we have allowed and helped him to become a better manager/coach than before... and in turn we have become much much much better for it.

The match day thread contributors?
Minute 1 -89: A is ****; B should be sold; C is a ****; the whole team is ****; Poch is ****; Levy is a ****
Final whistle: Well done boys. Always knew you could do it. So proud of this team.

I knew we would win even at half time. I thought there is no way that we have got this far to mess it up like that. Ajax fans were relaxed at half time, and I think their players came out the same way.

Honary mention to one Gorgio Cheillini who only last year gloated:
“It’s the history of Tottenham. They always create many chances and score so much, but in the end they miss [lack] something. We believe in the history.”

How’d that work out for you in the Champions League this year, you donkeytoss fuckmonkey?

I will hold my hands up and say that I maintained we would never reach a CL final and now look at us, on the verge of being champions of Europe what a **** I am :happy:

I thought Poch was the wrong choice as manager, wanting LVG or de Boer, mainly because of the dutch football connections. Still have my reservations on Poch, but have to accept he has done a quite miraculous job. Legend status now confirmed.

I was absolutely certain Kane would be a one season wonder. Even on season 2 repeat, I remained fairly baffled and surprised. I have to admit I'm still a little confused and conflicted on his talents. But cannot deny his outstanding stats. Controversial view, I think we COULD be a better TEAM without him.

Thought Rose was a basket case who was done last season. He's been back to his high standards again lately. Still looks like he'll deck someone though
I quite like that aggression, to be honest. I like that sense that he won’t take any crap. Jan and Toby give that impression too.

This aint a 'get your digs in thread' mate...go to his player thread if that's your bag.
Thanks for letting know(y)
I would have to say Sissoko, but I dont think I also gave any abuse at him. I did criticise him, some of which he deserved it a season or 2 before

I laughed at this, but felt a Winner rating to be far more appropriate. Chiellini can go fuck a goat, if he can find one with low enough standards to have him. ****.

I called us Todland Hobspurs til I was 5.
I thought we would win the league when we signed dumitrescu and popescu.
I believed in Timotee Atouba.
I wanted De Boer, not Poch.
I never wanted Sissoko.
I thought Eriksen was tackle-avoidant & useless at set pieces.
