I called us Todland Hobspurs til I was 5.
I thought we would win the league when we signed dumitrescu and popescu.
I believed in Timotee Atouba.
I wanted De Boer, not Poch.
I never wanted Sissoko.
I thought Eriksen was tackle-avoidant & useless at set pieces.
5 out of 6 ain’t bad

I wanted us to get de boer and not poch.
I didn't think llorente would add anything to our squad.
I absolutely did not want us to sign sissoko (It was justified in his first two seasons with us though)
I thought Janssen was a great signing.
I also thought the same about Njie.

I knew we would win even at half time. I thought there is no way that we have got this far to mess it up like that. Ajax fans were relaxed at half time, and I think their players came out the same way.
My brothers a Liverpool fan and he said something similar, both Barca and Ajax though it was over. Same as AC milan with Liverpool in CL Final.
Dangerous position to be in, 3-0 up.
Eh??? lol

Llorente.
Was happy we got him.
Happy he looked a good player.
His finishing was poor and he looked so slow.
I was frustrated that we never played to his strengths.
Why fkin buy him of you wont cross the ball in our go long?
I cant believe that he saved his best performance for us so far for a CL semi final. Mainly due to us finally realising we need to get the ball to him.

Sissoko.
Never seen a player go from being so piss poor to so vital.
I know confidence plays a large part in sport but fk me he has improved 10 fold.
Unbelievable Jeff.

I wanted Frank De Boer...
I don't get too much right but always been proud of that one :sneaky: Trawl through my posts from 5 years ago and I said Pochettino would improve our players and bring a proper style of play. You could see it just through watching a handful of Southampton matches.

De Boer was only proven in Holland.

me.

frankly... i thot we bottled it. we really had a horrid last quarter of a season. we got to thank arsenal and united for really falling asleep.

didn't expect to be in the finals of the champions league. heck... was surprised that some how inter didn't beat PSV.

but a really fantastic season. one to remember.

I wanted us to sign Jefferson Montero from Swansea for the 2015/16 season. He started one game in the Championship this season.

Although I did also want Mahrez, which probably would've won us the league that year.

He actually wanted us to sign Nigel Pochettino, who's the manager of the Hot Dog 'n' Grill Emporium in downtown Murphy.

I must own up......
I regularly come on here and expect sane, normal responses in the players' threads. :sneaky:Oh and never go on match day for exactly that reason:whistle:

Few weeks ago I was desperate for the season to end.

My only mistake was that I should've specified the League season...

I never stopped believed we could turn it around but most of that first half I kept calling our whole front life, specially Lucas and Dele, a bunch of pussies who didn't gave a damn about the fact that they were playing a CL semi final. I'm so glad they proved me to be both wrong and a fucking moron.

When I first started supporting us I thought we were called Tottenham Hotspurs.

Yeah, well, when I first started supporting us I thought we were called Tottenham Forest.

Ive always thought Moura had quality but Id be lying if I said I thought we'd prevail after halftime. But honestly, who thought Moura could score a hat-trick in 40 minutes of a champions league semifinal? I wouldnt expect that from Ronaldo or Messi. That was one of the greatest halves any footballer has ever had. Ever.

Most of us were probably wrong at half time in Amsterdam. I bet 99% of us thought the adventure was over.
I was in the 1%. Even after their second goal I sat calmly thinking its not over, we are going to win this, we are destined to. I kept thinking about the day before (LPool and Barca) and thinking, we are going to be sensational as well. Even when Verts hit the post in the dying minutes when it was 2-2, I thought we are still going to seal this, and we did. I just felt it in my water.
