I would say that it was essential to buy a goal scoring creative midfielder. VDV scored 24 in 63. The successful teams always have a Scholes/Lampard figure.
Disagree. In Eriksen, Alli and Son we have midfielders who are capable goalscorers. What we lack is players who can regularly create a chance out of nothing. Isco is one such player. He'd give us what Silva has given Man City all these years, what Mata (when trusted) gives United, what Ozil gives Arsenal. He's an Iniesta, he's a thoroughbred playmaker.

Which is exactly why we won't get him

Erm? Like Higuain, Ozil, Makelele, Robben, VdV etc.

We're not talking about a player not wanted by Sunderland.

No he's not. Kante's job is to make the team hard to break down and protect the back 4.

All the Real players that you mention were already established when they were bought. Isco is yet to prove himself beyond Real. Kante is a match winner. Conte knows how to defend and Kante will be to Chelsea like Makelele was to Real.

I understand what you are saying. Personally, I would buy a player that was creative and can score goals.

Re: Son
Don't they print some sheet in Germany on the last day of the window about potential transfers? And if your not on the list you can't be transferred?
(Or have I imagined that??)
If so, we should know in the morning what's happening with Sonny for definite

Spurs struggling to agree a payment plan for Sissoko, WHAT??? This never usually happens, honest...

Quick, someone tell me it happens to all clubs and is perfectly normal...

He's basically a better Eriksen

He is more than that, he is strong on the ball like Modric, works hard for the team and is probably one of the most technically gifted players in world football. He would be an absolute star not just for us, but for the league.

Isco scores for Real every 6.5 games.
Mahrez every 3.56
Jenas for Spurs every 7.3 games

I love how you have managed to compare Jenas to one of the world footballs most promising players (I'm not talking Mahrez).
