I would take adebayor, ex scum or not. I used to think he was a bit of a nob, but came accross a nice guy when he was on BBC at world Cup, i think he would work well with defoe. No way we would pay his wages though

So you wouldn't be happy for our team to have an upgrade then and go backwards?

I won't lie, it's been lonely.

As for Adebayor, not that I expect it to happen, but he's a tall, skillful player with pace, power, is great in the air and can score goals from all sorts of positions. If that's not something that would improve us, I don't know what is.

Adebayor! Yes please

You could just imagine the looks on the faces of those scum supporters if he ended up wearing the white and blue of Tottenham Hotspur FC, priceless.

He's on about 150k a week so I can't see him wanting to leave too soon. Another Pie in sky rumour.

I can imagine the faces of some Spurs supporters too!

When I think of Adebayor I see him and Henry dancing at the corner flag after he scored against us and his run to the Arsenal fans after scoring last year, what a douche.

He'd probably be a useful player for us but I don't like the guy, and he is just awful far too often (remember his performance against us last winter? dreadful!).

I'd like to point out that I'd also be very happy with no signings despite this recent link

I'd be relatively happy with no signings either, though I would like us to sign a centre-back and another striker.

At this point in time there is no real desperation to sign anyone. Obviously if we decide to sell several players, we need to be replacing them with improvements, but right now I'm very happy with the squad of players we have.

I'd rather have Robbie Savage than him. It's like saying I'd rather haepititus than aids. Will he improve the squad? Probably but you have to draw the line somewhere.

I'm not sure I'd be happy with no signings. It's true that we should get better simply because we have a consistent squad who are gaining more and more experience. However, I'd say that we have been in the 4th-7th block for a while now (mostly Us, Man City, Villa, Everton), and we just managed to take 4th this time around. Without the improvement that the CL can bring, I think we'll have to fight hard for 4th again. If we did manage to bring in 1 or 2 players that are better than what we have, then we could make 4th our own.

If the options were

A) No signings
B) Signings like Parker, Bellamy, Santa Cruz, C.Cole, Richards etc

Then I'm firmly in favour of no signings.
