I can't imagine Sullivan selling Parker after what he's recently come out in public and said, it would rile the fans too much and tarnish his rep even further.

Not that fussed about Parker tbh

I think the Parker one will just run until the end of August. We'll sign a couple of key players, and conclude the Parker signing late in the window. I doubt people would be too fussed if we signed 1 or 2 top quality players before signing Parker. Most are just exagerating because we haven't signed any top players yet. He'll add to the strength of the squad, even if he isn't the number 1 priority.

As much as I think we can sign a better player than Parker, I also think we could do a lot worse.........

That's because West Ham are shit. I'm sure he'd rather be in a squad like ours than stay with that mess of a club. He held squad status at Chelsea. Unless of course he's only interested in the money, but Daniel Levy will never pay over the wage limit for him. If he accepts the wage we offer, then i'm more than happy to have him in the squad.

Had this debate with someone on the 'Scotty Parker' thread in Transfer Talk yesterday. I have no innate objection to him being a Spurs player (though, as I keep on saying, the time to have got him was when he was at Charlton...I think he could've been so much better, and Chelsea really hampered his career). But i am not convinced that he would be happy sitting on our bench, and all players fit I just don't know who he would replace.

If we buy Parker then all it means to me is that Jenas will definately be leaving. He wont directly be replacing anyone in the first team as our CM options of Huddlestone, Sando, Palacios, Modric, Parker will all depend on the team we play/situation in the game.

With those options however, I see both Jenas and O Hara leaving very soon

If that's the case, we simply wont sign him. I very much doubt we'll guarantee him first team football or anything like that. He'll certainly compete with Huddlestone, Palacios and Sandro though.

That's how I see it.

Parker>Jenas
Sandro>O'Hara

2 upgrades in the heart of midfield.
