Curiously Gold mentions Conte is looking for an attacking midfielder as well. I wonder if its the typical attacking midfielder role or just a cover all term for midfielders who are better on the ball

Very interesting to read:

"football.london understands the bulk of the £150m is set to be used on transfers to improve Antonio Conte's squad plus any further funds raised by sales".

That is a huge budget if true?

Hes repeating what Elbobble has said (top Everton itk apparently ?)

"Tottenham have now opened up talks with Everton, for Brazilian forward Richarlison. Everton remain insistent the player will not be sold, unless an ‘exceptional’ offer is received. Whilst, Everton and Spurs also continue to discuss the transfer of midfielder, Harry Winks ?"

If this is true, then what Gold has said makes sense, especially if Conte wants a striker and CB on board prior to our pre-season tour. The good thing about this deal is that it appears that Everton are looking at Winks.

I hope this deal comes off for both parties as I can see this being key to our success next season.

Thank god for that, everyone seems to be juicing up about something we already new we had ?‍♀️
The 150mn was available to be taken till the end of the year. We just now took 100mn from it.

This is ENIC making 150mn available for Tottenham Hotspur FC for transfers and other expenses till end of year and club just drew 100mn from that

Thanks and I get that… now ? but it isn’t additional to the original amount which we all new we had if you get what I mean. It’s kind of news but not.

Yes that is true. We all knew the money will be taken very soon. But it does hint at something else though. We might be ready to close 3-4 deals in the coming week or two.

That the City has been informed that ENIC has made that money immediately available (as of Friday) and this amount (or some of it) will be used is news.

I’m just saying we knew it was available and we knew we would be spending big this window so in that way it isn’t but cheers anyway ?

I think the implication is that were about to start spending it.
A few itk have said that things may progress this week and it looks like we've now taken the cash out of the bank and we're headed to the market with a pocket full of reddies.

Could it not be to pay for the loans with obligations? Ie Romero?

Yes and no.

Almost all transfers are paid in installments - so some of the money could be used to pay the first installment of Romero's purchase obligation. But, it won't be used to pay the entire payment.

And, we would have had a small transfer budget even without the £150m inflow from ENIC, and we still have sales to add to the budget - so there is money to use, if we can get the deals done.

Possibly but I would've thought that those are already budgeted and accounted for.
Plus, we're not going to pay for any deal in a lump sum so the way I see it is that we're strutting around with a healthy pocket of first installments.

Very good this season in the Bundesliga with RB Leipzig, Josko Gvardiol is targeted by Tottenham. The Spurs have taken information from the German club. The 20-year-old Croatian is under contract until June 2026. #Mercato #Spurs
