Feels like we are meeting a lot more resistance with our targets now after having it relatively easy on Peresic, Bissouma and Foster.

Eriksen - off
Raphinha - lots of competition
Richarlison - lots of competition
Bastoni - Inter fucking around
Spence - Gibson being greedy

We were never going to have it all our own way, and it was always going to be a big ask getting our targets in before the beginning of July and the start of preseason.

It will be interesting to see if we manage to push through these deals in a timely manner or if things will develop into more of a grind from here on in.

You have no idea if these were our first choice targets though. Eriksen for instance, we supposedly contacted them once and didnt follow up, so its hardly "off"

Don't we have 5 options for forward? There was itk saying Conte had 1 preference from those but not sure who, maybe Martinez. Other than that any of the other 4 he's still happy with. I wouldn't get too worried about 2 of the 5 not happening, we'll get 1 I'm sure. I think Raphina is likely anyway tbh, we're a great pull now and I really don't see him having a better option.

Spence I'm sure will happen too because Boro will want to sell and nobody is paying what they're trying to get. Trix saying they're asking more from us than they asked from others.

I also wouldn't sorry too much about first choice anyway. Willian was first choice when we got Eriksen and Diaz was first choice when we got Kulusevski.

With Fabio reportedly in Italy on business over the coming days (WLB info) I'm hoping that will yield some results.

No I don’t, but it does, from the outside looking in, seem that we are hitting a few speed bumps with the deals that are being mooted.

This isn’t me having a dig or a moan either, we’ve had a brilliant window so far and we obviously mean business.

It’s going to be interesting to see how we meet the challenges ahead though.

To your point, there is no such thing as no resistance whether it be a player wanting to come, us wanting the player, agent issues, another team getting involved, media bullshit, other club/fees, and to expect otherwise (because things have been great so far this year) is unrealistic. People forget the drama or weren't aware once we sign any of the players we do, including those we have signed. Every individual transfer saga is going to have it's up's and down's, so best to focus on the overall end product. the Bottom line is we are doing as well as we could do under the circumstances and it is hard not to be confident that we will finish with a strong group. I don't let myself get overly invested in any target, because frankly the pool of targets we have is such quality that choosing who will do best for us is next to impossible.

What at least 2 more in before Korea cb and forward
Looks like Conte is happy with Doherty as the first choice RWB for now. Might give Levy a bit more time to negotiate and strike a better deal for Spence. Really great to see forward is a priority and considering we have linked with some really tasty names, looks like next week would be fun.

Thanks WLB.

This is the big money! Easily looking at circa £100M for these pedigree of player, that's obvious.

A good attacking midfielder won't come cheap either.

So according to AG, we want two CB's (if one of ours departs), an Attacking midfielder, RWB, and Striker.

I'm intrigued to see how Paratici solves the puzzle :D

And hopefully a bit of incoming to help us on our way. We are supposed to be agreeing the deal for Bergwyn on 1st July for July for over £20m.

Interesting - Spence not seen as need before Korea, is that because have 2 RB's in squad?

If so, means we can continue to take time and haggle price with Boro rather than meeting their requirements
