Yep, It’s a not so cryptic one (obvious). The idea of getting Isco on loan and Rabiot this window would be something else but I’d imagine even just getting one would be one hell of an achievement by the club.
Rabiot I can maybe see happening because he is in an untenable situation at PSG. If nobody comes else comes in for him he may well settle for us. As for Isco, I reckon he will want to wait till summer to see if he can end up at a AAA club. He supposedly turned us down enough times. But here's hoping!

I'd say Poch is pissed. We probably could have signed De Jong last summer for 45mil. But levy wouldn't pay that.
Ajax were not going to sell ether De Ligt or De Jong last summer. They made a decision not to sell their best players this year and get back to winning ways. Ziyech also decided to stay one more season. No amount of money from anyone was going to prise them away. They invested heavily in the market (for Ajax). I don't blame Levy for that miss. Anyway, Rabiot and Isco would more then make up for it.

So if Rabiot were to join us, can we now start referring to PSG as our feeder club? ?

As for the mystery Real player... Most likely would be Isco, as we have expressed interest before and he's been on the peripheral of their starting XI this season.

Sadly it could also indicate Eriksen trotting off in the other direction.

Thanks for the deluge of ITK today, ITKers!

Let’s also point out that Ajax are sitting on a massive pot of cash that they can’t spend because nobody wants to play in the Dutch league.

I refuse to get my hopes up at all this positive ITK. I'm expecting Eriksen, Son and Kane to leave, and us to sign James N'Rabisco from the French Ligue 2 :sour:.

Can’t see that a bigger draw than us won’t come in for Rabiot and pay more money to him. Especially at the price quoted.

None of this will pan out. It rarely does. Maybe, if we're lucky, we'll get Janssen out the door.

Down about this season now. Was so hopeful pre-Wolves and then again pre-United.

No I think that would make us PSG’s cast off club a bit like Sunderland were for us a few years ago. When we sign Mbappe or Neymar then we can refer to them as our feeder club.

I can’t profess to having watched much of Rabiot but based on our prior purchases of PSG players I’m not excited.

That's a pretty pessimistic outlook for someone with a great big "BELIEVE" signiature.:)
As for getting Janssen or anyone else out the door I think the ITK seems to say its as likely as incomings so if we need one to get the other I'm optimistic.

I am loving the ITK but i am very pesimisstic after previous window. I would love for them to be right but i am taking a lot of salt but trix usually doesnt commit himself often so maybe something has changed in a sense that someone has become available and we may have lowered or even got buyers for our deadwood.

Am hoping we have a good eventful ending :bag:

Well, from @Trix 's mood change from earlier in this TW, it would appear that there has been some form of movement within the club. IIRC we needed to move 2 or 3 of our non HG players to be able to bring someone in, not because of the cash issue, but because of squad places. If this is right, it follows that the likelihood of moving 1 or more out has recently improved. I'm not going to speculate who, but I think we could all guess fairly accurately!

Here's hoping!

So Rabiot, Isco (presumably), or someone from the Championship.

I don’t want to ruin the suspense for anyone, but I have a pretty good idea how this one is going to pan out.

You (r)otter!? but I'm inclined to agree.

Isn’t it normally this time of the transfer window ITK starts to leak out that we after so & so player then slowly as deadline day gets closure and closure the ITK becomes more negative and by 23-59 on deadline day the usual ITK that we tried for so and so but deal was too difficult to do comes out.

Yup, I think deep down a lot of us know that is how it will end

There should be no doubt, if he wasn't running his contract down he would be a starter. This is in no way a cast off like Lucas, regardless of what you think of him.

Can't see it happening mind.

This is the classic ITK flurry a week before the window closes.
