I don't think there is any reason to panic, we don't have much to address.

I would be happy with Pritchard and Onomah competing with Chadli and Lamela and I would also be happy with Veljkovic and Alli playing support to Mason and Bentaleb (although I would like us to add a McCarthy or Carrick personally to keep the discipline)

The big issue is definitely forward and neither Ade or Soldado can deputise for Kane and he can't play every game and it's the one position where the youth aren't banging on the door.

I appreciated the sentiment but we cannot go into next season with only Mason, Bentaleb, Veljkovic and Alli as our 4 CMs with an average age of 20.5. It would be a disaster.

We simply must add someone at CM with experience and if it looks like we're not going to do that like him or loathe him we have to keep hold of Dembele.

If that's a case we must be using the most inflexible and rigid system in football.

The reason I'm not stressed is we have excellent youth back up and it's clear from the assorted links and ITK that we are looking for a forward and midfield. It feel different to other season where we all know what we need but it appears the club doesn't recognise it and just buys squad filler.

This was always going to be a window for clearing out the crap which we seem to be doing to excellent effect. I suspect the result of this window will be a competitive, hungry and streamlined squad.

Will this get us top 4? Probably not, but I still believe we have an exciting season to look forward to.

There hasn't been a sniff of a Rabiot move in the French media, so I'd doubt it would be that, given the intense scrutiny PSG are under. And I doubt they'd link the two deals, as selling their brightest academy prospect in a swap deal would not go down well!

I personally think its a secondary Striker target, and Ade is the trigger point. Possibly the little cabbage *cough* ahem, pea (not saying I'd like or dislike the signing btw).

Primary targets have seemed to have been CM/DM and a young WF all summer, and these have seemed unrelated to Outs, so maybe an established Kane backup with high(ish) wages is the player linked here.

Great to see @rebrab suggest a player in before the end of the month. I personally hope its a first choice DM.

Kane - he's not good enough
Bentaleb - He only played a few games because he's Sherwood's favourite, not good enough
Mason - Only heard he's always injured, not good enough
Rose - Worst player ever, not good enough

There's not a lot of putting "necks on the line" ITK like the old days. There's a lot of playing it safe/ambiguous ITK. I have found a lot of it this window is the same thing reworded. I guess its to do with the new regime, when Redknapp was there it was a free for all lol

Looks like one of the 3 out will be Stambouli.

Hope that the other two are from the list of Adebayor, Soldado, Chirches and Lennon, rather than say Fredericks, who as Walker appeared in the Reading friendly is now likely to leave imo.

Need to get wages out.

Does this mean three more on top of Adebayor?

If so you assume Chiriches, Lennon and Carroll? Soldado and Townsend are the other contenders, but there don't seem to have been many links to them.

Soldado will NOT be sold unless we have an agreement in place on our target. If Ade goes I doubt that will change. There is another versatile striker we have been in discussions that may be near it end of window. That is the reason why we won't let Soldado go, who Poch and squad loves, unless we are able to swiftly sign another whilst we continue to negotiate on the one that will go to near end of window. Unless things change of course.
