A chairman who gets along with DL??? Well that must be a pretty short list...

I'll be fucked if I've got a clue what Jasper is saying...something about transfers being a complicated process...

Isn't he meant to be friendly with Mike Ashley? May have got that wrong...

Plan D for CM Sissoko or Tiote...?

JJ basically ruled this out 15 mins ago
I'm not sure if JJ ruled it out it could be interpreted the way you did in this isn't true ignore the rumour or it can also be seen as if you don't like it don't read it, it can still be true. I want to believe the Moses is not coming to Hotspur Way though

Over the last couple of years a lot of people have said they will donate money if Ade leaves. I hope they stick to their word :coffee:

I'm not going to hold my breath in Ade leaving this week, things never seem to go smoothly with his transfers. Remember the summer we signed him permanently? That seemed to take forever and a day.

Ill donate one of my children!

good. the csa payments are a right pain ;)

seriously though, i'd imagine the difference in valuations for ade are simply that we want to pay him off/subsidise his wages via a higher fee from villa. getting that size of wage off the bill could also open the floodgates for an incoming or two as has also been suggested. fingers crossed.

Before it snowballs…………...It is of zero concern to Spurs and this thread in particular who the player mentioned in Jaspers post was/is.

But well played on finding yet another way to take the thread away from its intended course.
...intended course...good one!!! :ROFLMAO:

Yeah I don't quite get this, particularly as Stambouli and Adebayor weren't exactly critical to the squad anyway and we've already moved quite a few others on.

The only way I can see it making sense is if Rabiot is coming the other way from PSG...but that wouldn't be linked in any way to Ade.

It's either the Rabiot move many have suggested or a non-primary attacking target IMO.

There hasn't been a sniff of a Rabiot move in the French media, so I'd doubt it would be that, given the intense scrutiny PSG are under. And I doubt they'd link the two deals, as selling their brightest academy prospect in a swap deal would not go down well!

I don't know what JJ has heard regarding how interested we are, but we have definitely been speaking to his people regarding him.

Telling his people we dont want him cause hes garbage and he makes Townsend and Lennon look like Messi and Ronaldo

Jasper on SO - with an explanation of how things work

"Please understand that as desperate as we are to get ALL deals done well before KO, it is just not that simple. We have to wait for selling club/s to line up their replacements as well as other contractual issues the player wants resolved with their present club."
I reckon this fits in pretty well with the McCarthy situation. Martinez will need to find a replacement and if McCarthy has to submit a transfer request he may lose money because of signing on fees, hence the "contractual issues" and the delay being out of our control.

It still all comes down to money. Bid enough for a player and transfers are alot easier. Starting with a lowball bid just drags them forever

Unless you're Man City/Chelsea then most teams will enter lengthy negotiations. We're not going to just pay what the selling team wants as every pound counts when you're in our position.

Thought this was interesting, and an addition to his earlier post

Jasper on SO in response to

Whats to say that Plan A was the best player?

Plan A can easily be the player who we feel we can get at the right price, is the right age, fits the right profile, has the right amount of potential for example

Plan B or C could be top quality. But its a costly deal as we know we have to pay over the top.

You are right on everything.

I will blow my own little trumpet here. Two years ago I constantly called and hinted USA investment along with franchise and naming rights.

I don't think there is any reason to panic, we don't have much to address.

I would be happy with Pritchard and Onomah competing with Chadli and Lamela and I would also be happy with Veljkovic and Alli playing support to Mason and Bentaleb (although I would like us to add a McCarthy or Carrick personally to keep the discipline)

The big issue is definitely forward and neither Ade or Soldado can deputise for Kane and he can't play every game and it's the one position where the youth aren't banging on the door.
