Johnny Bairstow is out of the T20 World Cup and out until 2023. He's injured himself pretty badly by all accounts.

Fuck. That.

My 2 cents on the mankad business.

this is why everyone else hate England when it comes to sport. India followed the rules, England didnt. England whinge that’s it’s not fair and isn’t very nice, fuck nice, if it’s in the rules then it’s perfectly acceptable.

and if England got India out the same way the English press would be slapping English players on the back saying how very clever of them.

India will not come to rue this, to regret this. They’ll move on and forget about it. England will spend the next 10 years sulking about it.
Talking of sulking - for 41 years now. Chappell’s delivery was within the laws of the game too.

The whole point is one of the laws is to upkeep the spirit of the game.

That sits above all else - I hate when I see people saying "they've found a loophole" or "they've made the rules work for them there"

I will be attending a meeting of the directors of Surrey CCC and the club members on Tuesday 18th October, in which the subject of the reduction of the county game season as proposed by Sir Andrew Strauss, with a reduction of the top division teams down to only 6 will be discussed.

Should be a fascinating morning.

Buttler at his destructive best this morning.
Aussie attack looks a bit powder puff, and also looking lax in the field, but guess it’s early in the season for them.

they're also missing their 4 front line bowlers - Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood and Zampa.

but this is still a good batting performance from England. Aussie pitches really suit Buttler and in particular, Hales.

if our bowlers perform we could have a really good world cup.

Never understand why Wood doesn't utilise the slower ball. We saw in Pakistan how hard it is to play when people are trying to smash it and expecting a quick ball.
He just got smashed and his only answer was bowl quicker. Well your fastest ball just got hammered so time to change it up Mark if nothing else it puts a bit of doubt into the batsman's mind.

How the fuck is that not out? Wade just stopped Wood from catching it.

Looked right at him then blocked him

Turns out we didn't even fucking appeal. well if we lose the match we can't blame that incident. (although we shouldn't even need to appeal it, the umpire should see it for what it was)
