Plus there’s no names on the tickets, so it will be quite easy to sell them on. These are the people the club want to get. Not those people who share a season ticket (I know that’s not allowed) I suspect. Imagine tossing a coin to see which one of you goes if you’re in that position though.

How on earth does the club get those types of fans though

Unfortunately there’s dicks everywhere.

If I was a season ticket holder who couldn’t go, I’d just give it to a mate. I wouldn’t charge them and I definitely wouldn’t flog it online.

Has anyone purchased tickets elsewhere other than through the club?

And for those going to the game is it true you need to bring your passport/ ID in order to prove your the ticket holder ?

Assuming tickets through uefa are different to those supplied through spurs ?

You need ID, ST and purchase proof to collect tickets. People can confirm when they pick them up but suspect tickets wont have any names printed on them.

Just back from the ticket office. Barely a queue at all, although I was there around 5pm. Today wasn't my actual slot but they didn't mind.

Bloke (tout) standing in Sainsbury's car park handing out business cards looking to buy tickets. I mean he didn't look like a fan to me, plus the phone numbers on the card had French dialling codes.

A couple of guys on coys saying there are touts outside the stadium. One guy got offered £4K for a pair. Doesn’t say much about the club’s ability to combat touts if they can’t do it directly outside the stadium!

The thing is - buying them isnt illegal is it - unless im mistaken ofcourse? the selling is illegal...

I would think it would be difficult to prove if someone is buying to sell - thats the issue.

To stop the black market in tickets somehow they have to do away with paper tickets and go digital, stadium cards or smart phones etc . it would cut down on fakes . How about face recognition like passports some day it might come in, or fingerprints, iphones can recognize fingerprints so why not turnstiles. 21st century and we still have a black market in football match tickets at ridiculous prices.

I have heard uefa will check passports at the gates for people who bought tickets from uefa ?

Anyone aware of any passport spot checks at the stadium ?

Will this be to match up passport with tickets?

I suspect they may do this because you don't go pick up the tickets if bought from uefa... Which I think adds up to 4k fans.

Spurs have already checked IDs at the point of collection. So I can't see those at the stadium doing this for 33.5k spurs and liverscum fans.

Seems to be the same as the foreign office advice. One thing that concerns me is that they want us to arrive as early as possible but yet:

“Flares, fireworks, alcohol, cans, glass, bottle tops or containers over 1/2 litre are not allowed in the stadium.
Soft drinks and food are available inside the stadium.

That implies they won’t serve beer inside the main areas? I’m sure the 55% of attendees (Uefa/hospitality) will have no problem with free drinks so would be pretty annoyed if this was true. Big disincentive to go 2/3 hours early which we probably would choose to do if we can get some beers inside.

not being funny because I'm not a drinker (due to meds) but you shouldn't need to be tanked up to enjoy a football match. Most are going to be there most of the day drinking in bars, would 2 hours without a beer kill anyone.

Spurs’ stance on selling on tickets is a bit disengenuous. Sure there are a bunch of scammers out there but the 13k or so actual fans with a ticket wont be selling the tickets. The corporate sponsors in the rest of the allocation and the UEFA family members will be much more likely to sell them for 3k+ on stubhub and Spurs wouldnt dare say anything about that. Also any ticket the club does take away wont go back out to to be sold, it would be given to a sponsor. Feel for the fans who were unable to get a ticket solely due to the corporate greed by Spurs, Liverpool and UEFA.

the trouble is to sell corporate and get sponsors you have to offer them something back in the deal. it's just a shame that UEFA don't offer 20-25k for the fans, 3k each for clubs sponsors corporate, and then the rest to the UEFA family

Although tottenham drive most of us to drink , i enjoy football enough to watch without being under the influence .
