Please tell me Reggy is back, if not then open up the left back slot to competition winners.

Get back to basics. 442. No inverted wingers. No wide forwards. No 343, No 433, No 352, no 4321 and none of our 3 useless fullbacks
Hugo
Toby
Dier - Sanchez -Rodon
Bale - PEH - Tanguy - Bergwijn
Vinicius - Son
3 defenders playing within the 18 yard lines with Toby sweeping behind. PEH winning the ball, Tanguy doing his stuff, Bale and Bergwijn attacking their fullbacks and crossing for Vinny with Son playing off him in as an old fashioned big man / small / fast man combo.

I imagine both teams will be racing to sit back that the ball just stays still in the centre circle for 90 minutes.

Potentially the worst match of football ever, be shocked to even see a shot on target

.....................................Lloris............................

Drinks Man....Kit Man...Groundsman....Reguillon

Social Media Admin (Day)................

Social Media Admin (Night)......Son...............
.........................................
Kane.............................................

The changes I would make, would be bringing in the drinks man at right back for his energy.
2 changes at Centre back, proper Dier position this (Dier...Get it...), 1st change would be the kit man, as I think would be a better fit at the minute, as he is good cleaning up the crap. Alongside him, the groundsman as he is a monster for anyone going inside the penalty area churning up all his hard work. I did it once, and I am still petrified to go anywhere near the box for some cheeky shooting practice.

Definitely think our guys in our social media on the day and night shifts have upped their games lately, and we are crying out for them dor their creativity. The night shift guy would be better as the RW, as he is always drifting in and out, with the day shift as our number 10, being our main goto guy.

If these are not wanting to play, or have aswell downed tools, put a mix of youth in with Lloris, Ndombele, Hojbjerg, Reggie, Son and Kane.

In terms of personnel, I'd change 3 from last night. Rodon in for Toby, Dele in for Sissoko and Lamela in for Bergwijn.

But it's positionally where we need a re-think, especially at full-back. They need to be, on average, 25 yards higher up the pitch on Sunday otherwise it will be 2 teams thinking safety first. We have Hjobjerg who sits, he often looks to receive the ball off the centre halves so we can afford the full-backs to be more adventurous.

Lloris
Rodon Dier
Hjobjerg
Aurier Ndombele Davies
Lamela Dele Son
Vinicius

Get on the front foot.
I'm not Lamela's biggest fan but he deserves to start for at least injecting some energy last night. Plus he's got legs which we'd need alongside Dele.

Felt sorry for Vinicius, he comes in for his bi annual game and needs a telescope to see his teammates.

No point not playing him unless Kane is fit, at least try and get some minutes in his legs and hopefully the midfield will not just be stunt doubles for the back four in this game...

I don’t know – whoever’s fit – but fuck me anything other than a win would actually be hilarious :cautious:

442 and actually attack. Bit of pace at the back so that we can play a higher line and let Son and Bale push forward.

Lloris

Tanganga Sanchez Rodon Davies

Bale Hojberg Ndombele Son

Dele Vinicius

Subs: Hart, Aurier, Dier, Devine, Winks, Lamela, Moura, Bergwijn, Scarlett

Lloris
Aurier Dier Rodon Reguilón
Højbjerg Ndombele
Bale Lamela Bergwijn
Son

Hart Doherty Alderweireid Davies Winks Sissoko Lucas Dele Vinicius
  • If Reguilón is still injured, play Davies and promote Sanchez to the bench.
  • If Dele is still ‘injured’, put Scarlett or Devine on the bench.

—————————— Lloris —————————
—— Sanchez —— Alderweireld—— Rodon ——
—————- Ndombele —— Hojbjerg —————
Aurier —— ——— — Lamela ————— — Bale
——————— Vinicius —— Son ——————-

We line up doesn’t have Bale playing as a wing back.

We don’t or should I say we shouldn’t require 5 defenders against WBA.

I would play 3 centre backs and a high line. If we’re under pressure then Aurier can drop back to make it a 4 with Rodon being a temporary left back.

In possession I would have the 3 centre backs near the half way line, Aurier and Bale out wide with the latter playing there as he’s a) left footed, got a very good shot/cross on him and he’s been woeful on the right. I would then have Hojbjerg sitting in front of the back 3 with Ndombele being the link between defence, midfield and attack. Lamela would provide the link between Ndombele, wide players and attackers. Son as he does with Kane can either pick up knock downs from Vinicius and/or provide us with pace through the middle. I think this is a much better and balanced line up than we’ve seen recently. Reguilon would potentially slot in for Bale when he returns from injury. Lo Celso/Alli for Lamela and Kane for Vinicius.
