I wonder if the reason KWP was taken to Barcelona is because he'll play leftback on Saturday. Something like:

Trippier, CCV, Wimmer, Davies, KWP

Why not?

Except that if we have proper wing-backs there's less chance of a start for N'Koudou, which would be a shame.

Pochettino on Kane:"He was training in Barcelona next to the group. We hope for Tuesday it’s not a problem. Now's not a moment to take risk"

Its beyond a confidence issue with Vince though. It's a physical attribute issue. He's strong but he has a very high center of gravity making it easier to knock him off the ball. He's also way too slow with very slow feet. He wont make it in England the way he is right now. He needs a few months of speed/agility training and he needs to strengthen his core and lower body to create a lower center of gravity. Once he makes progress here then he can get to work on his brutal first touch. The reality of it is, he needed a year. We should have bought in another striker to back Kane up so Vince had time. The way he is right now, he reminds of another former AZ striker who killed it in Holland but failed miserably in England before and after his time at AZ.

He needs to be shut down to focus on training. Once he makes progress, we can give him more game time later in the year to get his feet wet before next season.
The last thing you could accuse him off was being easy to knock off the ball, it's been the strongest attribute of his game from what i've seen, the main issue is pure lack off pace and incorrect positioning when attacking. If he just stays in the box for Trippier to whip balls into him he should easily score.

He was taken to Barcelona because he's now part of the first-team squad.

I can't keep track of who's fit and who's not, or who's coming back from injury, but here's my take:

Vorm
Trippier CCV Wimmer Davies
Dier
Sissoko Winks N'Koudou
Janssen Son

Out of curiosity what is it with clubs being named Wanderers? I could google this I know, but would rather ask the boards

Alliteration?

Wycombe, Wolverhampton, Woolwich....

That is clever AF, but apparently google has a different answer. I like yours better btw.

Apparently it was taken on by clubs that had no home pitch, so they were called the Voyagers, Wanderers or aka homeless.

So it should correctly be used to talk about a bunch of *****s that drifted up from South London?

Vorm
Trippier Carter-Vickers Wimmer Davies
Winks Wanyama
Sissoko Alli N'Koudou
Son
Subs: Lopez, Walker, Walker-Peters, Dier, Onomah, Edwards, Janssen

We can revert to 3 at the back easily enough. Think we need Son's guile over Janssen's hold up play personally. Alli as a shadow striker with N'Koudou hopefully turning full-backs inside out.

Davies does not work as a wing back.

Vorm
Trippier CCV Wimmer Davies
Dier Winks
Son Sissoko Nkoudou
Janssen

I would go with the same, or maybe start Onomah as one of the AMs...hopefully he'll at least get a decent run out off the bench.

Like your lineup - except I'd have Janssen instead of Son. If Kane is hurt I'd prefer to keep Son on the side in case he's needed next week. And Janssen needs a chance to show what he can do to raise his confidence. I'd also have Eriksen on the bench instead of Onomah.

Should be a fun game. Really looking forward to seeing N'Koudou start. Hopefully Edwards can come on and show his stuff.

I wouldn't risk Son or Dier in this given our injury concerns for Tuesday. If we can get a comfortable lead I'd like to see Edwards and Walker-Peters given at least half an hour.
