Ali Gold has said none of the 10 outfield players from Sunday are training today. Not sure if that means they wont be involved tomorrow or rested for tomorrow.

Kinda destroys the myth of no subs/ fitness build-up from the weekend, if we give them a day off a few days later.
I understand people need to rest, but it seems Strange to me. hmm

hmmm it seems like those 10 will stay behind with Ian Cathro.

So not expecting a win with the others tomorrow as we know they are not truly up to it.

They could miss morning training and fly out with everyone else later this morning or afternoon.

I'm not sure if we would have a training session at their ground later today or tomorrow, but I'm not sure we have a big enough squad to leave 10 players at home.

Thanks for update. Can't see all 10 not being involved. Certainly hope not as we would probably lose.
I think it's smart to let them rest.
Anyway we see what happens, Nuno has big calls to make right up to January, and hopefully beyond

I don't really like the seperation of a team in "team for important matches" and "team for who cares matches".
I think a mix is always important and it is super hard to perform with a team where everyone is just second choice. To have no spine always has hurt us, just remember the first leg of Pacos Ferreira.
Scarlett, Gio, Gil and co. need some game time with some regular starters to build on their chemistry.

Lets see who will play tomorrow.

I would 100% agree with this, IF we were in the knockout stages. However we are in a position where we will have enough to qualify out the group. Therefore resting your best team completely during these matches for the leagues is 100% right. This competition was always ridiculed but it was perfect for squad players to keep match fit as Spurs have a history of injuries throughout the season and for academy players like Scarlett and even John, this is much more useful than a loan in league 2. We saw with the likes of Hojbjerg and Son in Europa last season, that we cant afford to burn out players again. So gambles in games like this and Pacos have to be taken.

Will be madness to play a weak team, we need to finish 1st to qualify.
As others have said need a mixture of A and B. Definitely need one of Kane or Son up top

Dele obviously has to start and he really needs to show something special if he wants to get near our 1st team.

And he obviously need to play as holding mid in that case, because it´s much more important to give Lo Celso the attacking role.

Finishing 2nd gets you into the next round of games, but finishing top means you miss that round and go into the next one.
Exactly, I know that, but it seems some people don't. We don't need or want another two games to squeeze in an already overcrowded schedule, in order to qualify for the knockout round. Hence it will be madness if we play a weak team, because we need to finish first to qualify for the knockout round

Never knew that!

Think he will gamble this one and if we lose or draw then go full strength against rennes at home to come top.

I hope we have a mixed team with Romero and Emerson left at home.

Teams that finish 2nd face the Europa drop outs.

This is being done in knowledge that, even if we lose, we are still guaranteed to top the group if we win our final 3 group games (at home to Vitesse & Rennes, and away to Mura). And we will still want to do that, I think, given group winners get a bye in round of 32.
