I can't see LoCelso starting, but should be the one to come on second half.

It will be interesting to see who he drops. Son, Kane and Moura will start, so only 3 of Skipp, Hojbjerg, Dele, Ndombele and LoCelso will start.

Lloris
Emerson Romero Dier Reguilon
Skipp Hojbjerg
Moura........LoCelso.......... Son
Kane
Give Rodon a few more games in Europe to see if he can take Dier's place.

If Nuno sticks with 433, I’d like to see:

——————————Lloris
Emerson —-Romero Sanchez —Reguilon
————-Højbjerg————- Skipp
—————————Lo Celso
—-Moura ————-Kane —————Son

If he were changing things up I wouldn’t mind something like this:

—————————-—-Lloris
———Sanchez ——Romero ——-Rodon
Emerson ———————————————Reguilon
—————Højbjerg —————Skipp
———————-——-Lo Celso
——————————————-Son
——————————-Kane

Rodon is more handsome, taller and younger than Dier. So as far I can tell, should be in the team ahead of him.

Just think Hojbjerg and skipp together won't enable the front 4 to get the ball to them quick enough on the floor

Ndombele can do that and because skipp has more energy than hojberg makes sense to pair skipp with Ndombele

I get why everyone is talking about a skipp/Holjberg double pivot but I think most of you have forgot that we struggle to play through midfield without a player who can receive the ball in tight spaces. Neither Holjberg/Skipp are that player.

We struggle to have a midfield with out them, and with them in some games.
I would rather 2 hard working CMs at the moment with a Ndombele/LoCelso playing as a box to box

To me Hojberg and Skipp are essential against most Prem teams, give GLC the third spot and see how it goes. Alternatively give it to Moura in a 352 that easily becomes a 343.
I might even mention Markanday but what's the point, the club aren't interested it seems

Does it even fucking matter??

Whatever team is picked will be shite and ultimately underachieve. Until both Levy and Nuno go, nothing will really change. Same shit different day.

Solid base of Rodon, Romero, Skipp and PEH dominating the danger areas and harrassing the fuck out of any oppositon player picking up the ball. The whole side aggressive off the ball and pushing up.

Moura and Gil instructed to take turns either hugging the touchline to give width or moving inside to pick the ball up between the lines and link with Kane. Kane regularly dropping deep to add a man to the midfield or create when needed. Son constantly looking to stretch their back line and get in behind, with freedom to play across the line.

Otherwise..

With Gil and Son swapping wings and Moura coming on as a super-sub.

I think that's a slight misunderstanding of our issues, or an incomplete picture at least. N'dombele can do it but it won't help much if we're not creating passing triangles and moving the opposition around.

Skipp/Hojberg are both good passers of the ball, even if they're not exactly Pirlo. What we need is to get the ball quickly into Kanes feet, and that requires the fullbacks to join the midfield and hold width while the wide players like Gil drop between the lines and create passing option. We need to make the field big when we are on the ball and to have lots of options. Everyone needs to be on the same wavelength, aggressive, working hard to make space and looking always to play forward. Skipp/PEH provide a solid base for doing that and both are capable of making short sharp passes into the forwards feet.

At the moment we make the pitch small, have few options and can't play passes instinctively because we don't trust that a run will be made.

Skipp/Holjberg duo in central midfield is a must , a lot don't like the combination but it is what we have . Compare that to Dembele & Wanyama/Dier midfield under Poch neither Skippy or PEH in same class as Dembele but Dembele was often criticised for not moving the ball forward quick enough which seems to be one the complaints against Skipp/PEH.

That isn't really a 4-3-3 though ;) ... and definitely not the one Nuno has played in the league so far (which has seen a rigid 4-3-3 with massive gaps between the lines and very disjointed play).

I think the majority of us are agreed that Lo Celso needs to play as the advanced central midfielder to provide quick ball to the forwards. That is exactly what Dele does not do. Even Ndombele, whilst capable of sublime weighted passes, defaults to drawing opponents in and spinning them before looking for a forward pass.

Lloris
Emerson Romero Dier Reguilon
Højbjerg Skipp
Moura Lo Celso Son
Kane

I think the above is probably our best team at present. And if we're being ambitious we can swap in Ndombele for one of the DCMs. The jury remains out on Emerson at RB, and I'd like to see more ambition from him offensively as so far he has offered less than Tanganga going forwards.
