Not sure I have much faith in Nuno putting Lo Celso in , Skipp was MOM v Wolves in cup and didn't start against Arsenal .

Villa play 3-5-2 so need the midfield to work their bollocks off.
In that case, we could always go the same and bring in Sanchez/Tanganga for Moura. Personally, I'd still go with the 4-2-3-1.

Subs: Gollini, Rodon, Sanchez, Tanganga, Ndombele, Winks, Gil, Dele, Scarlett

Line up very clear to me. If we struggle, Ndombele for one of the DMs and/or Gil for Lucas or Gio.

Almost exactly this, but take Dier out for Rodon.

Hopefully the formation is 4-2-3-1. If it is, I think the only doubts are at centre-half and for the 10 role behind Kane. I would choose Romero & Rodon at CB and Lo Celso at 10, but I suspect Nuno will select Dier at centre-half, possibly with Romero, and Ndombele behind Kane.

Did you watch the post match on BT, everyone was saying that Gio provided what they all thought had be missing from our team all season. Even they could see it, you would think Nuno can as well.

Gollino Sanchez, Rodon, Skipp, Gil, Scarlett, Ndombele, Lucas, John

Dele does more work in the stance on Instagram

It’s like you’ve never seen Winks play as a DCM.

I have this worrying suspicion that Nuno won’t pick the Argies as they’re away for a few weeks soon.

Placing a lot of responsibility on Lo Celso but there's security with the two behind him and Lucas & Son to give him options and to take defenders off of Kane. It could be successful as long as everyone keeps moving.

I didn't watch the interview. I do however have a suspicion that is bery little chance he drops Alli. I think he's more likely to shoehorn Gio out of position in the front 3 again, so the team above is more in hope than expectation.

Think we all mostly agree about what we should line up with, just common sense.
Just hope they come with the right attitude.

Swap Hojberg for Ndombele for me.

Don't get the faith fans have in Hojberg, think he is limited and has been a big part of our midfield failure over the last 18 months. Not sure what he does really well, wins throw ins! He has had moments don't get me wrong but has done nothing to deserve the adulation he seems to get from our fanbase. I am more than likely wrong about him but my opinion anyway is he is vastly over-rated.

Lo celso plays well against a bunch of part timers and he’s in everyone’s starting XI ??
I mean, he was better then anyone else and showed more creativity then anyone else has this season against any opponent so why not? Hoddle, JJ and Crouch all said it, that the opponent were obviously very weak but even so he offered what we have been lacking all season and nobody has even brought an iota of it. So why not give him a chance? I don’t see what we have to loose really because nobody else is creating shit. It’s worth noting he does the same thing for Argentina. And also this was the first game he wasn’t being played, at least for 45 mins, out of position by Nuno.

Sign Clement Grenier on a free and bring him on last 20 to start to get some match fitness into him. Better squad option than Winks or Alli at CM. The rest of the bench speaks for itself.

FM Manager king over and out.

This has unfortunately showed us to be far too fragile in the middle, due to Ndombeles lack of work-rate and stamina.

I'd say we have to field both Skipp and PEH at the same time, especially against Villa's 5-man midfield.

He also played very well against Brazil in that position wouldnt call them part timers. For the first time in ages once Dele went off he was playing in his correct position without Dele taking his space. Needs an extende run for us playing there. He is a first choice for Argentina in that position and will be fot us too.
