Lo celso plays well against a bunch of part timers and he’s in everyone’s starting XI ??

Because he is clearly our best player in that position. He has played excellently well for Argentina against the likes of Brazil and other teams. Not sure they count as part timers.

Also, who else is there in our squad that is better in that position?

Ndombele - the guy only lasts 35 minutes before he is blowing.
Dele - massive waste of space, and to use your example, he couldn't even look good against a bunch of part timers. In actual fact I think he may have been the single worst player on the pitch.

Played better than most of the other players so that's good enough for me to get in ahead of Alli winks etc. A lot worse players than him this season.

Lloris

Royal Romero Dier Reguillon

Skipp Hojbjerg

Locelso

Moura Kane Son

Skipp covering the back 4 and Hojbjerg helping push forwards. Interchangeable. Locelso as per vs Mura and his national side, CM pushing forwards.

For me this is our best lineup. As long as the midfield cover for Romario and Royal getting forward!

Because what alternative do you have in mind? How would you solve the current cm issues and lack of supply?

Continue to play him at RW where he is rendered ineffective?

Or let him play as he does for the national side and produce something. Because given the number of chances created so far this season I think its high time for him to be given a go.

I think this team complements each other well. Skipp and PEH shouldn't play together their too similar and Skipp is on form.

Lloris

Tananga - Sanches - Dier - Regulion

Skipp - Winks

Gio - Dele - Son

Kane

What can Winks do that Hojbjerg can not?

I don't get why some are turning against Hojberg. The fiasco against Arsenal was down to Nuno not him
It's obvious what the front 6 should be, and if we don't play them would rather 3 ATB

I’m not turning against him but he was a disgrace v the scum. Yes he was on a hiding to nothing with Alli & Ndombele missing in action but there is no excuse for sulking about it

He strolled around in that first half just like many others. It was pathetic

As for the team v Villa how anyone is calling on Winks to start is beyond me. He’s been absolutely shocking for ages now. Like Dele he offers nothing in a Premier League team hoping to finish top half!

Lloris

Royal—Romero—Rodon—Reguilon

Hojbjerg—Skipp

Gil—-Lo Celso—-Son

Kane

Bryan Gil in the side just to be contrarian and not name the exact same side as everyone else. I’m sure it’ll be Lucas but I’d like to see Gil with Kane and Son because I think he has some great vision and off ball movement that I think will really be able to link with those guys. It’ll also be nice to see some interplay between Gil and Lo Celso and try and unlock the defence rather than just the speedy outlet we get with Lucas. It’ll be Lucas though and I’m honestly fine with that.

--Lucas-------------Lo Celso------------Son---

Subs: Gollini, Dier, Sanchez, Emerson, Ndombele, Winks, Gil, Dele, Scarlett

Gives option to go 3atb if things start going wrong, (albeit I'm not sure about Moura as a wing back!)

Top half? Pipe dream stuff if current form/results are any barometer to go by.

Now you're (inadvertently) beginning to understand the logic behind the appointment of Nonout.

Fair enough, see your POV.
Anyway, for me PH has to start
