Shame that Skipp no longer seems to be considered up to the job , alongside Dier or Wanyama,. Would have been useful at the moment but it seems Poch isn't sure

I think we will use him in our last two PL matches if we can secure CL this weekend.

Personally this for me. I’d really like to see if Foyth is a viable option at RB over Trippier, and with Trippiers performances this season he can’t do a worse job there than Trippier has been doing

I know Dier/Wanyama paired isn’t ideal or perfect but Poch’s hesitance to throw Skipp in as of late suggests that he isn’t ready/up to it as of right now.

Eriksen/Alli next to one of either Dier/Wanyama is also an option as some have suggested, however IMO I feel it is a wasted to play one of them there and feel they are more effective, Alli especially in a more advanced position.

The Dier/Wanyama midfield axis never works.

It's never been ideal but this is incorrect. At the end of the 2016/17 season we had this midfield in the 2-0 Arsenal (where Vic was a strong MOTM contender) and 2-1 Utd home (old WHL) wins, and the 7-1 away at Hull.

It was also in place for the costly loss at West Ham admittedly, but I did say it's not ideal!

I have a feeling Poch will rest Rose, Wanyama, Toby and Trippier for Ajax. We can't afford to rest any of our attacking players (except Llorente who will 100% play against Ajax) and this is about as much rotation as we can get away with in defence/midfield. I'm not a big fan of us playing 3 at the back but I predict Poch will go:

Lloris
KWP
Foyth
Sanchez
Vertonghen
Davies
Dier
Alli
Lucas
Eriksen
Son

Personally I'd pick the exact same team that beat Brighton and go for the jugular.

Fair but I think we are a world away from that team now.

As Foyth did pretty well at RB recently, I'd be interested to see him in @thinktank's DM position and helping to cover Tripps on that side. Wanyama should be alongside him. Dier doesn't look right at the moment and could do with being on the bench as a fallback option.

For the last 75 minutes when West Ham are dominating possession and have us under the cosh.....
