I think Conte needs to give some serious consideration to pushing Perisic into the front 3. I love Sonny, but his form has fallen off a cliff since the beginning of the season.

One of the reasons we often start slow is because of Son and Kane. It’s takes them a while to get into the flow. And opposition teams all use the same tactic in the first half against us… overrun our midfield.

So we need another Deki who will fight harder to get the ball. For me, that’s Perisic.

Lloris
Romero—Sanchez—Lenglet (or Dier)

Emerson—PEH—Bissouma—Doc

Deki—Harry--Perisic

Conte has to switch things up. As defending isn’t down to two CBs, it’s the whole team. Everyone has to fight to earn the right to play.

I know everyone hates Sanchez, but I believe his best spot is in the middle. Let the RCB and LCB be the playmakers. He just focuses on defending. I bet with a string of starts, he may very well change a few minds playing in what I think is the best position for him.

What if he’s rotating Ben in to give him minutes not to rest Clem?

He has the chance to gather a bit of stability in the back line by continuing to play Dier and Lenglet and with Romero coming back in, he can look to make that his first choice three.

He also has the choice to remove the worst performing player from the back three in Dier by playing Lenglet ccb and rotate Davies in at lcb.

What he shouldn’t do is rotate out/drop the most stable defender we have in our back line.

We’ll see. Dier is always better with Cuti. Which is a problem if he isn’t

Agreed. Whilst Dier is out of form, Sanchez and Tanganga hardly scream improvement. Dropping him when there's no one any better won't achieve anything. I'd go with Romero Dier Lenglet until we're forced into changes, but maybe you'd consider Sanchez if we play a team with a lot of pace like United or Arsenal.

RE dropping Dier for Sanchez or Tanganga. I think this can be summed up with what a friend of mine used to say in his 20's about kissing someone other than your girlfriend..

"Unless she's an upgrade, it's an unnecessary risk" ?
