I think it's these away games that Dembele can be more useful, where we need a bit of strength, composure and ball retention in midfield. I always feel it's at home where we mostly need to be moving the ball quicker.

Lloris

Walker Alderweireld Vertonghen Rose

Dier Alli

Lamela Eriksen Clinton

Kane

Subs: Vorm, Trippier, Davies, Dembele, Mason, Townsend, Onomah

Really don't want to see a midfield two of Dier and Dembele

Quite tricky... Dembele does not deserve to be dropped, but can he play alongside Dier?
Will Bournemouth play a little deeper and try for the counter?

If Bournemouth try and attack I would have Dembele alongside Dier, as whilst not perfect, I think they are both good enough to make it work and then push Alli further forward.

If Bournemouth go deep, I would ideally drop Dembele, but that might send the wrong message. So, I might either drop Ali to give him a rest, or leave Dier out and say he has to earn his way back in after getting suspended.

Lloris

Walker
Toby
Jan
Rose

Dier
Alli/Dembele (with Dembele's performance v Anderlect, hoping Alli will regain his place)

Lamela
Eriksen
Njie

Kane

Subs: Vorm, Davies, Tripper, Mason, Dembele, Onomah, Winks

I don't see Bournmouth as a team that will sit back, so pace will be important. hopefully this will be the game that will kick start Kane's season.

I know this is about tomorrows game, but when you look at that bench, it shows we don't have the strongest squad once you pick up a couple of injuries. we are definitely missing Son, and we will miss Chadli even though he isn't have the greatest of seasons so far

Looks a pretty good bench to me.

The thing is Onomah isn't a LW or any type of winger. He needs to be in the middle so that he can impact the game. He is similar to Pogba but he his best asset is the ability to find through balls. If you want a winger, there isn't anyone at the club or currently in the youth team who is near ready

Pogba has the ability to hit through balls, but it's not a defining feature of his play. His defining feature is his athleticism. He's strong, quick and good in the air. He is solid technically. Skillful and takes a good shot, but I've never seen him as the type of player you rely on to spot out those clever runs and hit through balls.

I havent seen as much of Pogba since he has moved to Juve but Onomah has been a CM for most of his career hence the comparison whilst he isn't great in the air. His athleticism is his best asset and played in a similar style driving the ball the forward.

I mentioned the through balls because thats something he does have in his locker more so than others are the same age and imo in the first team. I know that through balls aren't the main asset of pogba(hence why I mentioned it) however I would add that Pogba when playing for united was more of a goal threat than Onomah has been bar the tap ins. Im not saying Onomah's finishing is dog shite but it isn't as good as those in our first team(then again our first team's finishing ability is nothing to rave about)

Worth noting that Onomah was a starting U18 player at the age of 15 and was starting for the U18's before bentaleb was, the two played together in a 2 man CM midfield for U18's

Walker - Alderweireld - Vertonghen - Rose
Dier - Alli

Hopefully Mason is fit and can get a half hour or so off the bench.

We should be picking the same eleven who have given us a very good start to the season. Rose for Davies, Dier and Alli with the only question mark being who stands in for Chadli. N'Jie is my choice but no doubt Poch will play the half wit Townsend.

Im glad you're not the manager. Its a no-brainer that Dier is without doubt the first outfield name on the teamsheet at this moment in time

If Mason is fit then I'd play him with Dier in CM. He was superb before his injury. Made the midfield click, made excellent runs and complemented Dier excellently.

I have feeling that Lamela might be dropped for this game. I hope we go for this.
Hugo
Walker Toby Jan Rose
Dier Alli
Dembele Eriksen Njie
Kane

If Lamela isnt dropped he will play instead of Nije and Eriksen will be on the left.
