Talksport disussing the possibilty of Henry signing for Spurs...

Amoungst others (Chelsea, Liverpool, Back to Arsenal, even West Ham), there was a segment on the show today where they have been discussing the viable destinations for Henry should he return to England or as suggested London to live closer to his daughter.

When referring to us the following varibles were discussed...

Would we as fans accept a former Arsenal legend?
Would he be a good signing for us? (given his age etc),
Would he sign for us? as a loyal goon and also us being a non CL team

What do the Spurs fans think?

Personally I dont see the fact he is an ex gooner as a problem, not as long as he would do the business for us.

I think he would probably still do well in the EPL, maybe not the player he was at Arsenal but no doubt he would still score 20+ goals a season.

I dont think he would come to us however, I just feel if he did want to come back to England he would hope for a move to Chelsea or Liverpool. (Didn't Barca also rule out him leaving?)

I wondered what the masses of Spurs fans thought about this? Surely we would love to have an Arsenal legend doing the business for us (if just to piss off the Arsenal fans)

A piece in the Observer today, quoted the Arsenal accounts for last year and it shows that after losing the CL final they had to offer Henry £5million wages and £5million pound siging on fee just to get him to sign a new contract.
Basically it cost arsenal £10million to get one more season out of him, he then said he loved arsnal and would never play for Barcelona.
If that doesn't confirm that Henry is in it just for the money then nothing does, it follows therefore that he will not come to Spurs because we will not waste stupid amounts of money on him because he ain't worth it, as Barca have found out.
