We really better pull some rabbits out the hat, and I don't mean some crap journeymen from Italy, if we buy from there we better buy well.

Leicester already planning for the next few seasons with their signings....

You can see why Rodgers had no interest in moving to us. He's well backed at a well run club.

We look utterly hopeless. Keeping Kane is about the only thing keeping us levelish with teams like Leicester, lose Kane and we will be absolutely fucked.

Schick, anyone? Don't even know who he plays for! And no Google is not my friend, he's a knob

Because they signed a guy banging them in in Austria?

If he's not going to Leipzig, there's a reason...

Daka is obviously a great talent, no doubt.
But our league is a joke compared to the PL, and it's not too hard to score lots of goals for Salzburg.
It's always a gamble to buy players from Austria. I'm really curious how he will do in England.
Marc Janko once scored 39 goals (+ 8 assists) in one season (he played 34 of 36 games) for Salzburg and almost broke the all time record of Hans Krankl.

Hojbjerg - Fantastic signing
Hart - Free signing of a backup striker with good experience and is HG, decent.
Doherty - Not a good signing
Llorente - Very decent backup striker signing
Wanyama - Great player when we signed him and had some awesome games for us
Davies - Been a quality player for us
Vorm - Backup keeper who's now part of our coaching team

All of those signings were under £15m, so nothing massive could be expected of any of them. Doherty is the only one of those that hasn't worked out for us, so far.

Hojbjerg was a good signing.

Hart was brought in to be a backup keeper and a strong influence in the dressing room. He was poor every time he played and the dressing room was a mess. And that’s not even mentioning him insulting the club as a pundit, and putting out a real faux pas on social media.

Doherty has been really poor.

Llorente scored a couple of goals in the Champions League, and two hattricks in the early stages of the domestic cups, but was poor in the Premier League.

Wanyama had a good season but his body couldn’t handle it, should we have noticed that before signing him? I don’t know.

Davies has been a reliable backup at times, but never really looked like ousting Rose. I like him, I rate him, but that’s not what we expected when we signed him as a young prospect to ‘be our starter for the next decade’ according to many fans.

Vorm was pretty poor for us, always had a howler in him.

It's not an automatic process between those clubs, you can't force a player to go there.
It's not, if a team hits the price RB wants they will sell.

That being said, his value's probably higher scoring for fun in Austria than being a bench player scoring a few in the Bundesliga. Which is why he didn't end up in Leipzig last summer. I would assume they were somewhat skeptical. They know what they're doing.

Yes, Mane and Haaland are great examples that it is possible to make the big step from Austria to a better league.
But there are also Hwang (45 goals for Salzburg), Minamino (64 goals), Berisha (45 goals), Naby Keita (i know he had some injuries but still),..

It's really hard to predict how Daka will do. But as I said: the talent is there and he is still only 22 years old.

I think Minamino will come good, still. He didn't really get a proper shot at Liverpool and when he did, it was as a sub in a struggling side. Similar happened at Southampton. If he's given a role at Liverpool this year I could see him having a good season.

I’m more worried about what we are demanding for a soon to be 32 year old Sissoko than Leicester getting Daka.

Hopeless if true. We should be taking whatever we can get for players like him.

Have you seen Berardi’s disciplinary record? 7 red cards in 9 seasons and 4-13 yellows a season. He’s predominantly got a good goal and assists return but seems to have a serious case of ill discipline.
Erm, those are pretty good card stats, aren’t they?

We have no money, therefor ewith the money we do have we need to take risks on players who arent perfect but could be... if we want Pl proven players then we will have a hard time buyin gthem with the money we have.
