Any reason why Steven Fletcher is now starting ahead of Batshuayi?

Marseille's manager, Michel, made the inexplicable decision to start Fletcher over Batshuayi last week for no good reason. Fletcher apparently missed training the day before the match and still started over Batshuayi. Batshuayi then came on in the game and scored their only goal. Apparently Batshuayi and teammates were miffed at the decision and fan anger at Marseille at the manager has been reaching a boiling point over a horrid season where they are in a relegation fight. Again, yesterday, the manager inexplicably didn't start Batshuayi for reasons no one knows and Marseille were toothless up front. Towards the end of the game there was a big clash between supporters and what seemed like riot police inside the stadium. The scenes were very ugly.

So, Marseille is in total crisis, largely cause their board has allowed an incompetent manager to stay on, and Batshuayi has seemingly fallen out with him. No fault of his, and he will be hurrying for the exits as soon as the season is over. Might even allow us to get him slightly cheaper.

I think you may be mixing up the Bastia game up with the Bordeaux one.

Although Fletcher started both this week and last and Batshuayi had to settle for coming off the bench in both instances, Batshuayi did not score this week against Bordeaux. Though Bats was subbed on after 70 minutes and was their last sub so didn't have much time to do anything.

Everything is an absolute mess at Marseille at the moment.

Callum Wilson is back now for Bournemouth.

If he can show no ill effects from his injury he's someone I'd have a lot of interest in bringing in.

100%!!!! Looks a real talent. Could play alongside Kane and well as the lone striker.

Got a bit of second hand info. A friend of a friend sat next to Ighalo of Watford at the Joshua fight on Saturday and he said he would be at Spurs next season...

Was at the watford game on saturday - he was rubbish tbf. First touch was shocking. He hasn't scored in ages and his confidence is low. When on form he can be unplayable but I'm not sure he's a good fit for us now. Also don't think he'd sit comfortably on the bench.

Fuck me this place is harsh, passed on something I thought people would like to hear and get called a liar!
You are not being called a liar, your information is being called extremely doubtful.
I fail to see how Ighalo can bring anything to the squad that we have not already covered (?).
I know we only have one Kane, but as inferior to Kane as they are, how much difference is there really between Son, Chadli, N'Jie and Ighalo?

It might even be the player himself daydreaming. Which I of course don't fault him for.

Wilson needs a year under his belt before we should consider him.

Look at Jay Rodriguez 2 years after the same injury - still only 8 appearances clocked up.

I once heard one of AVB's team N2O-ed up boasting about how he was off to Chelsea.

Don't think you're a liar, but someone along the line could very well be fudging. Either the person who told you or even Ighalo himself.

These injuries are all different. If in these last 5 or so games he shows he's back up to pace I'd have no problem with bringing him in.

We're a big club, but we have to be pragmatic and try and bring in players before the other big $ clubs come sniffing. Lets remember in this modern age of football the big money clubs don't just hoover up the top talents they also hoover up all the backup options as well.

He was amazing, we should sign him. If United really do hire Mou reckon we'd have a great chance of bagging him.

that wasn't really what i was getting at

we have our own highly rated 18 year old cb to develop, my point was that fosu-mensah proved that sometimes a young player can actually be relied upon to do a decent job so ccv shouldn't just be ignored because of his age.

Hold up play.

Dont think he'd be a bad option myself.
