Zaha is a really really good player, I noticed that when he came up against Rose, I haven't seen someone cause Rose so many problems like he said and Rose himself said he was the trickiest opponent he came up against. I've always entertained the idea of Zaha coming to us, he's 24, technical, amazing physique, blistering acceleration and speed and mowstly has control of the ball. The only issue I had a year ago is his end product and he has improved that too this year and will improve with time plus playing with our players who have good movement and spacial awareness will only be better. I can see why Poch is a fan.

Also, I think Zaha's reputation makes other top teams would not view him as top targets. Very gettable. But fulfilling his potential now.

Its funny how all the players Ive recommended on here have turned out to be stars, Dembele, Brandt, Tielemans etc I know my players extremely well.

Oh hang on I just realised you're the Arsenal troll that comes out with gems such as this about Kane:

"Good player but if an offer of 60 mil comes in we should accept it in a heart beat"

Alli banned for three European matches. To avoid this year's disappointment, we need the like of Zaha or Barkley that can cover Dele's position (Given that we qualify for CL not europa, of course)

I really can't fathom how the likes of Barkley, Zaha and Keane are being lauded as improvements and ones that would makes us title winners.

If we are selling bentaleb (£17m), Janssen (£15m), Sissoko (£15m or more if hopefully he gets sold to China), gnk (£8m), wimmer (£8m) and possibly Lamela dependant on the truth of his injury/problems then we need to add quality

Players we should be targeting imho and whilst not easily attainable they are gettable providing we pay the going rate and offer decent wages (£60k+) are:

Julian Brandt (can play lw, am and rw)

Jonathan Tah (dier isn't a cb and we need3 quality cb's, ccv then can be cover).

Serge Gnabry as a plan B to Brandt.

Lacazette would be ideal but bigger clubs are likely to be interested and would he come as a number 2? Unlikely but certainly we should be looking to see if he would come and determining how much.

If not, then how about the lad Southampton have just signed gabbiadini?
Or, seeing if we can get batshuyai from Chelsea (tough I know but if they would sell to us I'm sure he'd be interested to play with his fellow Belgians, stay in London and have a proper opportunity in the PL).
Or left field, Dominic Solanke who's contract is expiring at Chelsea and who we would only probably pay £7m in compensation for and he's got a lot of potential.

5 players out and 3 in would cover wages and probably be nett £20m spend so it is achievable and is more realistic than Isco and better value than £50m on Barkley and Zaha.

This isn't a FM wish list but a look at players to improve us, that we can afford and fit our style of play.

Also German league players have a greater chance of succeeding in the PL due to the similarities of the leagues.

To me, addding Brandt, Tah and a striker would improve us and help us to push on for the title.

It's funny how you only recommend the worlds highest rated young players. How about unearthing some unknown gems for us.

They were fairly unknown when I recommended them. I recommended Ryan Sessengnon a year ago when I saw him playing for England U16, here's some unknown talent for you ; Faitout Maouassa, Myron Boadu and Vinicius Junior

Tottenham prepared to sell £30million flop Moussa Sissoko after just one season

Sissoko moved to Spurs on Deadline Day last August but has failed to impress boss Mauricio Pochettino

Tottenham are willing to listen to offers for £30million midfielder Moussa Sissoko after just one season.

The 27-year-old, signed on Deadline Day last August, has failed to impress Mauricio Pochettino and the Argentine is prepared to let him leave this summer.

Can someone explain to me how it works if we sell MS?

Supposedly we pay Newcastle 6m a season while we have him. If we sell him for 20m (for argument's sake) do we pass anything on?

Clearly I don't get it

Think the £6m a year is still payable so if we sell for £20m we'd be £4m in the hole albeit money now is worth more than money in the future. Or I suppose we'd sell for a nominal fee but the buying club would pick up the £6m a year obligation as Newcastle have him under a 6m a year contract for 5 years deal with us. My 2p.

that 20m would go straight to newcastle. we'd then pay them another 4m(to add to the 6m we've already paid/are due to pay), thus bringing the total up to 30m. which would effectively mean we paid 10m to have him here for a year.

Bingo! Clears up the fact we HAVE spent 30 million on him. But who on earth would buy him for 20 million! He wasn't worth that when we bought him

I thought the deal was £6m per year for the duration of his stay. I took it that if we sold early, we didn't pay the full amount.

It is a simple, common, pay by instalments transfer, It is done by 99% of football clubs. Sissoko cost £30m (by all accounts), and this is paid off in instalments - (again, by all accounts, 5 years). It is entirely commonplace and we'll be paying other transfers off this way, and getting instalments of transfer fees for previously sold players coming in as well. You can still be paying for a player long after they have left the club depending on the instalment timetable.

This was all caused by the dumb article/tweets of one journalist, who obviously didn't understand what he was told and shows a lack of knowledge about the subject he is employed to report on. Modern journalism in action... And then keeps getting repeated by some fans, for reasons I know not.

Where things get more complicated is if you are dealing with a club that still owes you money, like Newcastle almost certainly will have for Townsend. If they valued Sissoko at 30m, we might have, for example, paid 20m and wrote off the 10m they still owed us for Townsend. So yeah, the actual headline figure of what we have paid for him might be lower, and more comforting to some fans, but you've still committed a financial package worth £30m in reality.

Ha. So a businessman like Ashley, sells Sissoko for 6 mill, and let's us sell him for a big fat profit a year later. No chance!0

Exactly, Real Madrid still pay us yearly for Modric, same with Bale, as we pay for other players he same way

I read/heard somewhere that Newcastle are one of the few clubs who pay in full when signing a player

I'd be surprised if that was the case, but you never know. The Sissoko/Townsend mention was only meant to be a quick example though anyway of an added complexity to transfers and the fees/payments involved.
