Only a couple of players I'd say I want to leave the club in Kaboul and Adebayor. The others I think should be judged over the next 5 months.

In terms of incomings, I'd welcome another centre back, whether that be a free Reid, a left-field Wimmer or CL proficient van Dijk.

A striker is also necessary. Lacazette would be my ideal signing, though it will be implausible unless we achieve CL status.

A central midfielder like McCarthy or Milner would be amazing.

Then a fearless, pacy winger would be an important signing. Lazy to say but an Eden Hazard would be lovely.

On a bit of a happy tide but I believe that Paul Mitchell et al. will do us justice in the scouting and analysis of players and that we should be fine...

We're also consistently winning most of the games we play and have reached a cup final for the first time in years.
Dear God....

Some people just don't read... :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banhappy:

Take away Eriksen's and Kane's goals (moments of individual skill), as most of them where not as a result of excellent team play, but rather moments of skill in largely annoying, frustrating 90 minutes of shit.

Ideal window would be
Out:
Kaboul
Chiriches
Capoue
Paulinho
Dembele
Lennon
Soldado
Ade

In:
Moreno/Reid
Schneiderlin/McCarthy
Depay
Ings

So 8 out and 5 in(Including Alli). Totally unrealistic but it would revamp our squad greatly and create more room for youngsters to break through.

Call me batshit nuts, but I think between the rise of Mason, us telling Swansea they couldn't buy Carroll and hence them buying Cork, and us buying Alli - I would be very surprised to see us move for a player like Schneiderlin or McCarthy in the summer. Even before considering youth still in the academy, or even players who may or may not be here next season at the position such as Paulinho or Dembele, and that's a massive pile of players to be blocked.

I doubt we'll get Schneiderlin now. Could see him going to Arsenal in the summer.

Not that it matters all that much, I think wing forward has to be the priority.

I think we need a schneiderlin tbh, I think veljkovic is good but Im not sure if could jump in straight away

For CM next season this will suit me fine

DM: Schneiderlin + Bentaleb + Veljkovic
CM: Mason + Carroll + Dembele/Onomah

Mason and Bentaleb should have proven themselves by the end of the season as starting midfielders. I hope Carroll has a great loan and proves to himself he can control matches

Veljkovic by that time should have proved his worth to Charlton we will see what impact he has compared to Coquelin

What about Stambouli? You think we'd see him depart along with Paulinho and Capoue?

Not arguing with you as I'd like that setup, I just don't see it as being entirely likely.

I didn't believe myself but for me, Stambouli has done well but as a DM I would rather have Schneiderlin and Bentaleb over him with Milos playing half DM half CB cover. Stambouli as a CM option is good but I think Dembele and Mason offer something better whilst Carroll potentially offers something none of them do.

Bentaleb and Carroll did very well for the U21's as a CM and so did Carroll and Mason against a strong united side for the U21's 2 years ago

Well I certainly would swap out Stambouli for Schneiderlin given the opportunity, I just don't think it's realistic. And even then, I'd be content with Bentaleb + Stambouli for DM with Veljkovic for DM/CB, and Mason + Carroll for CM with Dembele providing versatile cover for both (if he's even willing to stay for that). I think that'd be a good midfield from which to build upon, and would be one Alli could challenge upon even as soon as preseason next summer.

Tbh the names of the ins don't really matter. It seems like we know what we are doing for the first time in a while.

Most important thing for me is that we strike early and give Poch the chance to work with the players all summer.

Wow ..why don't you support Real or Barca! You can never please the fans eh? We've looked more like team for the first time since we cracked the CL (and even then, it was the start of the Bale show). Stop with your negative crap ...most of us here can see progress and we're supporting it instead of ranting on like you're stuck in one gear.

With Mitchell on board, you'd like to think we'll sign some great lesser-known players, for cut prices

Overall though, we'll probably need a striker and midfield dynamo to keep the ball moving, when we have possession

Job #1 will still be to clear out the unwanted, and to sell before we buy. We've maxed out non homegrown players for the squad.

Do you know why evolution created the middle finger? No... So I could use it.

WOW!! Amazing, the same old clichéd response when somebody tells the truth. It is like you are not allowed to say it as demanded by the majority who wear those f-ing rose coloured glasses that leave them more blinkered than the Liverpool fans.

In my defence of my claim, I refer to every match thread this season, most of which the majority of fans are grateful of the points, but my god was that shit.

We struggled to beat Sheff UTD FFS!! in a cup semi-final :banghead:

Seriously, nothing pisses me off more, than fans that bury their head in the sand and claim everything is f-ing rosy because of where we are in the league, we are winning. I know someone else who thinks like that, his name is Levy and now we have a team full of players who can't pass a ball properly, have brains about as useful as putting your dick in a blender and shit bricks when little children give it some.

http://livefootballvideo.com/fullmatch. There you go, knock yourself out...

PS, I think Pooch is good manager and not his fault he has a squad full of shit to deal with, but I hate 4-2-3-1 with a fooking passion.

We really could go back & forth on this but I ain't wasting my time. You're probably one of those fans that would be ecstatic for us to play well yet lose ....so you can say "but we played well!". Well...fuck that shit. At this point I'd take the crap play (and no, I'm not claiming for one minute we're playing well btw!) and points - after all isn't it the hallmark of a great side i.e. don't play well but still know how to win? I think you're being hyper critical - we have a very young squad determined to play for the fans and the manager - those not willing to do so are being shown the door. I'm not a fan who buries my head in the sand - I hate poor performance, bad results etc as much as the next fan but I think its fair to say that if you don't see progress ...you're the fan who's head is buried in the sand! I can't ask you to be patient or to view our football, players and squad differently ...but I can ask that you judge the players on RESULTS afterall, the table does not lie ...does it?

Btw - your claim is defensible quite simply because we all react in the post match threads...why? because we're passionate, we expect the best, want the best and we are desperate to succeed but remember this - we all do not react the same or feel the same. I respect you're entitled to your opinion as I am to mine...its a pity yours is "glass half empty" whilst mine is "glass half full" ...all the same I'm backing this team to do some more good things this year under Poch as I'm sure you are. Enjoy the rest of the season mate ..let's send those gooners packing this weekend!

It's too hard to say at this time. We have our squad now until the summer, this includes many players that a lot wanted to shift on.

however we have 5 months left of the season with these players playing for our squad. They need our support and qcclear slate, it would be beneficial for us if we allowed them to intergrate in our squad again and prove themselves (if they want to), for this reason I can't decided on who I really want to shift this early.

Also who is to say that some of our younger signings like Lamela and Dier, or one or two academy players (winks/onomah etc) won't really kick on in the next few months to make first 11 spots or squad spots their own. This would certainly lessen the activity and positions needed, and with players like Yedlin and Ali bought in to develop in to first team players it is clear Poch would prefer, on the whole, to count on current player improvement rather than personnel changes.

Too premature to say where we will definitely need player changes IMO.
