Would take a 3-0 loss against City all day long. They were poor against Villa but at home they’ll tear us apart and Haaland will rip Dier a new one. We might have beat them last season but they now have a striker to finish the numerous chances they create.

That's the spirit.

Oh come on... We did the double over them last season and they've been shaky for their standards thus far in the league.

Well, we got there eventually. The red card made it attack vs. defence. We huffed, puffed, and finally managed to crowbar open the defensive door.

Fairly error-strewn performance though and lacking for intensity. And between now and the weekend we need to hope something clicks in the attacking areas to give us any chance. All the games this season we've been inefficient, bit indecisive, iffy decision making, and nowhere close to firing on all cylinders in our attacking play. Against City we might only get half a dozen scenarios where we're going at their goal, we will simply have to make them count.
Watched City a few times and they are giving up quite a lot of chances, so I wouldn't be surprised if we get more in a game like that as opposed tonight.

Pep will prepare his team for their strengths, not necessarily our patterns.

It's just more evidence that we struggle to play against a back five with the current formation we play.

Our attack is so out of synch. We could have destroyed them in the first half if we were even remotely sharp with our passing and movement. I’m sure it will click at some point but for now it’s concerning. I really worry about this weekend if we show up like this.

And yet he was the player whose dangerous run brought about the red card that arguably changed the game. Though I take your point he's not yet firing on all cylinders, there's more to his game than the goals.
For sure, but for me at least, the bad is outweighing the good at the moment. Conte might be trying to play him into form but his confidence looks shot.

Cliché, but sometimes you just have to win when you're not at your best. We've done that a few times already this season.

Love Richarlison. Love him. That scene was quality.

Sonny for whatever reason isn't at it, and normally I'd be against leaving him for a game at City, but Richarlison and Kulu look sharper at the moment.
When haven’t we? Fulham maybe? I can’t see this keeping up.

Not a chance anyone would take a 3-0 loss. We will cause them problems and I have no doubt we’ll score. They’ll score too, I’m sure, but it won’t be a walkover for them. The main problem is choosing who you play out of Son, Kulu and Richarlison

Yes but romero will hack him down and cripple him within 2minutes, all whilst giving him a much needed haircut when he yanks his man bun!

Red card saved us. Pretty appalling performance up until that point.
That’s a little unfair. It was a truly terrible performance but we looked the more likely team on the break. We actually played worse when they first went down 10 men
