I'm increasingly impressed by Winks. So nice to see someone who moves the ball quickly in midfield after years of watching Dier taking an age to move the ball on.
That is an odd comparison to make - given that they really don't play the same role.

We’re crossing the ball because Newcastle have effectively blocked us from playing through the middle. It’s going back and forth, looking for a gap, then someone puts in a cross when they can. The difference isn’t the number of.crosses, it’s that they were dreadful last time and they’re accurate today.

Energy could be better. My old man doesn't know much about the sport but he watched 10 minutes with me and noted that in a lot of cases our players weren't moving at all. We've put some good pieces of play together as well, but we could easily step it up a few gears.

Our overall energy is great.

We're just too static around the box, waiting for someone to slip in the perfect ball instead of swapping places, making little tricky angled dashes to pull around defenders and keep them guessing.

Lol at Eriksen being the scapegoat. If that genius through ball to Son would have been a goal, he'd be motm so far. Small margins.

We're playing well, just got to have patience and the chances will appear.

We desperately need Harry & Dele back... we look so short on goals without them 2
struggled with last min v Fulham & Watford in last 2 PL games and no goals v Palace or Newcastle.
Still a few games to go before they are back too.... need to get the 3 pts here as need to keep a big gap on 5th with our fixtures coming up in a few weeks

We played well. We need newcastle to open up a bit more so we can find the space.

Vertonghen crossing sublime, should have had about 5 assists, just blunt up top, Son, Lamela, Eriksen and Moura all need to up their game 2nd half.

Only 1 team so far came to play football. And Spurs have played them off the park. But no goals even when Sissoko hit the target on a volley.
Moura really missed a sitter but he's not a CF though.
Jan's had more raids in this game than Davies' had all season and seem to have had more pin-pointed crosses than both the regular full-back have managed whole season.

Your right. He’s just doing my nut in mate :(
Think he's done that a few times this season and then come up with a crucial goal.

Poch needs to put him on the ball more.

I don't wanna see winks pick it up in the middle all day, alone.

Eriksen needs to be on it there more, with with game in front of him.

He's pushed too far up.

Seriously, think Eriksen has been our worst player by a mile. Has his head been turned?

Why cant spurs just bloody have a comfortable home win for a change. Every game at the moment is such a laborious desperate chore in the 2nd half!
It’s the PL. There are no easy games and a Benitez team is never a pushover. Always well-organized and disciplined... we should take our chances, because we won’t get many...

It's dull. In the toxic bowl that is Wembley.
Im at the other end of the stadium and you can hear the geordies..
Norwigians to the left of me.. Koreans right behind... Fuck off.

Yeah fuck off fellow spurs fans, how dare you turn up and support our players, you foreigners

Was so excited when we signed Moura and then his performance at OT, but can really see why he struggled in France.

He might still pop up and score a worldy. But I'd say, judging him on his form of late, that it's very unlikely.
If this is all he's gonna do between now and the rest of the season, Madrid won't even want him.
