We’re crossing the ball because Newcastle have effectively blocked us from playing through the middle. It’s going back and forth, looking for a gap, then someone puts in a cross when they can. The difference isn’t the number of.crosses, it’s that they were dreadful last time and they’re accurate today.

It’s like we needs a big man up front who is good in the air

Only 1 team so far came to play football. And Spurs have played them off the park. But no goals even when Sissoko hit the target on a volley.
Moura really missed a sitter but he's not a CF though.
Jan's had more raids in this game than Davies' had all season and seem to have had more pin-pointed crosses than both the regular full-back have managed whole season.

amazing isn't it.

Shows you how much we need a FB overhaul.

If we’ll persist with crosses Fernando is bound to come on sooner rather than later...

Seriously, think Eriksen has been our worst player by a mile. Has his head been turned?

Have to agree with this, he's been a passenger up to now.

Consider the cross we have got into the box I really can't understand why Llorente is on the bench.

We need to encourage them to chase a bit more. Everyone camped in one half isnt going to tire people out. We need gaps to open up. 80+ minute goal at this rate.

It also baffles me why we don’t shoot from the edge of the box. Only son or Harry seem to do it. A few times it opened up and we take an extra touch or 3 more passes. Just have a go!!

Love this thread. Against Watford people were tooling up and getting in their cars to go find Llorente and do his kneecaps, now they want him to come on.

Always has been, Davies second Rose third.

Has put in dangerous balls, but found his man once for the Lamela chance. Although it's kind of a moot point how good his crossing is when he doesn't like/want to play left back often at all for some reason.

Moura and Eriksen need to wake up.

Somehow Vertonghen's crossing is better than both Rose's and Davies'.

Verts has had a great first half. Tons of time and space there tho.
Eriksen s head is in Spain
And Moura seems to have so much more impact when he comes on as a sub. Doesn’t quite seem to have the same point to prove almost when he starts

Llorente starts and it’s 0–0 at HT: GET THE BLUDDY DONKEY OFF. HONESTLY.

Llorente doesn’t start and it’s 0-0 at HT: THIS GAME IS CRYING OUT FOR LLORENTE
